Needless to say to get the broken bolt out the whole front of the engine had to come off. So not letting a good crisis go to waste I decided since I was going to have it torn down I might as well upgrade while I was in there, so the old sloppy timing chain had to come off and I decided to upgrade it with a gear drive, because why build shit, when you can overbuild shit! The cast iron water pump got replaced with a new heavy duty aluminum unit.

I went ahead and swapped a rebuilt Motorcraft 2bbl carb while I was at it.
Since I had the power steering and alternator brackets off I decided I might as well clean them up and shoot some paint on them.
2 coats of Light Ford Blue and 2 coats of clear.
And finally after all of that I got to finish my 3G alternator upgrade.
At the muffler shop getting what's left of the original single exhaust replaced with dual glasspacks.
I think I have my heater blower motor issue narrowed down to this relay.
What, you don't tear your dash out on your lunch break?
Hopefully I can get the wiper switch fixed because they never made new replacements, just N.O.S.
Today's project was a cosmetic upgrade for the broken old steering wheel on the '75 Econoline.
Hit the yard today since the weather was decent. Found the '75 E350 and the '95 next to it.
Almost got the 351w Roller pulled out of the 95, but I ran out of time.
I ended up grabbing the coveted "Power By Ford" valve covers (The official valve cover of Dooley Speed and Machine) and the V8 throttle cable/bracket off of the '75 for the Windsor swap on my Econoline. And the heavy-duty oil cooler off of the '95.
I finished pulling the 351 Windsor Roller block that I started on 2 weekends ago!
