Today's progress in between Georges homeschooling and appointment. Shout out to Billy Young at Youngs Performance Differential for helping me get the pitman arm off of the broken steering box. My pitman arm puller wasn't wide enough to fit over it and my chinesium 3 jaw puller came un-manufactured.

Finally got to finish the job I started back in August 2022. The steering, front suspension, and brakes are completely rebuild and brand new on the Van now!

Yesterday's progress/regress. Swapped out the old duraspark ignition system for a GM HEI, I'm not really a fan of the hei but there aren't any options for the Ford 300 six (looking at you Pertronix). Used the same ignition relay that I used for the Pertronix swap on BigPabby to get my 12v for the hei but the wiring is different from the 1975 to 1979 so not sure where to hook up my ignition wire to. That being said I did jump it across the solenoid with the key on and it fired right up and ran good, just no crank from the key yet. Also got new plugs and wires.

Today's 1st project was repairing the stripped out threads on the lower alternator bracket.

Cleaned up and painted the bracket with some rustoleum Ford Blue engine enamel. Reinstalled everything and verified it was charging.
