Not sure what the media love affair is with FLUVOXINE, but In addition to being a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor, it has a secondary an anti-inflammatory mechanism of action that reverses reactive oxygen species at several different points in the the cascade, particularly mitigating NF-kB, which is responsible for pro inflammatory cellular activity.
It’s only one study with small numbers, and only a suggested effect in Covid infection. Premature to speculate where it’s going, it could be a nothing burger by next week.
