Over the past two days, I have been watching a discussion in telegram chats and on Facebook about what 10-18% VAT or Service mean in the menu of local establishments. Some disputants cite the “legend” that was circulating in 2018-2019 as an argument, saying that this is a tip, which is then distributed to waiters and bartenders. Perhaps in some rare establishments they do this, but in most, nevertheless, this is a regular tax, which is added to the amount of the order and does not go as a bonus to the staff.
❗️So, if you are satisfied with the service, food and atmosphere, then you can leave a tip and not look at these percentages / services on the menu.
