The Armenian Patriarchate of Jerusalem severely criticized Patriarch Kirill of the Russian Orthodox Church for awarding Azerbaijan’s First Lady, Mehriban Aliyeva, the Order of Saint Equal-to-the-Apostles Princess Olga, 1st Class.
The award was presented during Patriarch Kirill’s visit to Baku and was given for Aliyeva’s role in “preserving traditional values,” according to the Russian Church.
