🏔️ The iconic Leaprus shelter on Mount Elbrus has joined the Cosmos hotel chain and is now called Cosmos Elbrus Leaprus Camp.

It is the highest-altitude shelter-hotel in Europe, located at 3,912 meters above sea level. The camp serves as a key point for acclimatization and rest for climbers and everyone heading for the summit — which is still 1,700 meters higher from here.

The shelter consists of several residential modules with shared dormitories for 10 or 12 people. There are “economy” beds (from 5,600 RUB per night) and “comfort” beds (from 9,200 RUB per night). Each bed is equipped with a sleeping bag and pillow. The facility also includes a common lounge, shared bathroom, and a café-style dining area. Three meals a day are included in the price. Heating, hot water, and Wi-Fi are available 🌡️📶

If you’re not planning to summit Elbrus and just want to stay at the shelter for the experience, keep in mind that it’s located at an altitude where altitude sickness is common. It’s recommended to spend a couple of days in the Elbrus region beforehand, walking at lower elevations to acclimatize.
