V reakci na to vyšli do ulic lidé po celém Íránu, kde se postavili policii a otevřeli prostor neomezené svobody. Mnohým obyvatelům Íránu se zdá, že to, čeho jsou svědky, je opravdový revoluční proces.
Ve spolupráci s antikapitalistickou a antiautoritářskou skupinou Collective 98, která se zaměřuje na boje v Íránu, se podařilo probrat situaci s íránskými a kurdskými feministkami. V následujícím textu se zabývají historickým významem této vlny povstání a silami, které ji uvedly do pohybu.
