NEW MCL39 ANALYSIS 🧐 Key points: 🟡 Much more aggressive anti-dive suspension design➡️Aim is to stabilise aero under braking 🔴 Vertical side inlets 🔵 Larger, oval airbox inlet ⚫️ New nose? - Reworked engine cover outlet (not shown) - Epic livery🔥 Looks…
Consider that, as we approach the last year with this ruleset, visual changes will be smaller (as teams by know all have a working concept, and simply refine it).

Even more so for a WCC-winning team, that has a lot to lose and not as much to gain from a total overhaul

Williams aims to cut drag!👀

💡Here is how:

🔴 More streamlined and smaller engine cover (shark fin is larger).
🟡 Front wing: less mid-span load and less cambered scoop.

Also:
🟣 Switched to push-rod rear suspension!
⚪️ Updated floor edge
🟢 Overbite

Will they top the speed traps? 🤔

Remarkably, Mercedes had a pull-rod rear suspension in ‘23 but used a push-rod in ‘24 and will keep it for ‘25.

Williams kept the pull-rod for last year but is finally switching to the one (push-rod) provided by Mercedes.

Haas' new rear wing is unlike anything seen so far: the cut on the endplate is so extreme that it almost traverses the entire wing!

Other changes:
🔵 Cut behind the front wing endplate;
🟡 Underbite ➡️ overbite inlets;
🔴 Seemingly larger undercut.

Ferrari's finally switched to Pull-Rod!💡

A risky change, but possibly worth it...

SF-24: Push-Rod (wheel pushes the rod, which acts on the spring/damper).

SF-25: Pull-Rod (wheel PULLS the rod).

Carbon fibre is more resistant to tension than compression➡️Lighter
Also, lower Centre of Mass

Its impact on aero is complex, though!

Many other interesting details:
- New front and rear wing
- Completely different mirror mounts
- Wing on the upper part of the sidepod
- Reworked engine cover, sidepods, floor...

A risky bet considering Ferrari’s strong season-end performance, but it was likely needed to maximize the car’s potential.

Who looks favorite for the noscript: McLaren, Ferrari, or RedBull? 👀

💡Ferrari boldy developed an almost WCC-winning car for the last year of regulations:

- Front suspension: switch to Pull-Rod, different wishbone attachments;
- Sidepods: larger undercut, complex design;
- Shrunk engine cover, sharkfin almost removed, new central outlets;
- Completely new rear wing: different V-shape and tips.

And these are only the most evident changes!

Will this big bet pay off? 👀

McLaren has a completely different upper wishbone compared to Ferrari! 😮

1️⃣ More vertical rotation axis:
- Upper wheel upright will move longitudinally (variable wheelbase);
- More anti-dive;
- Different airflow.

2️⃣ Wider wishbone angle➡️Resists better to longitudinal forces, worse to lateral ones.

Both concepts can work, but which one will have a higher performance ceiling? 👀
