Relentless Israeli attacks continue in the Gaza Strip, with deadly airstrikes pounding Gaza around the clock, claiming the lives of about 100 Palestinians each day.

The clock ticks in red, while the world watches in silence.

The blessings of Allah— both those which are obvious and those which are hidden, aknowledging them and speaking about them dispels worry and distress.

The slave is encouraged to have the attitude of thankfulness, which is the highest level he can reach, even if he is in a state of poverty, sickness or other kinds of misery. If he were to compare the innumerable blessings that Allah has bestowed upon him with the bad thing that has befallen him, he will see that the distress is as nothing in comparison to the blessings. When Allah tests His slave by means of these disasters and miseries, and the slave does his duty of being patient and accepting, then the difficulties become easy for him to bear, and he has the hope of earning reward from Allah for submitting to Him, and being patient and content. This makes bitter things sweet; the sweetness of the reward helps him to forget the bitterness of patience.

One of the most beneficial things in this regard is to follow the advice of the Prophet  صلى الله عليه وسلم given in the saheeh hadeeth reported by Abu Hurayrah:

“The Messenger of Allaah  صلى الله عليه وسلم said:  “Look at those below you and do not look at those above you, lest you belittle the favors of Allah.”

[Sahih Muslim 2963]

If a person keeps this important concept (of looking only at those below him) in mind, he will definitely feel that he is better-off than many others when it comes to good health, physical strength, and provision (rizq) such as food, clothing, shelter, etc, no matter what his situation. So his anxiety and distress will disappear, and he will feel increased happiness and joy in the blessings of Allah which have raised him above others.

The more he thinks about the blessings of Allah, both obvious and hidden, spiritual and worldly, he will see that his Lord has given him many good things, and has lifted from him many bad things. No doubt this too will dispel worries and anxieties, and bring joy and happiness.

Do not feel safe from the innovator in your religion, do not consult him in your affairs and do not sit with him. For verily, whoever sits with an innovator then Allâh will cause him blindness.

Part 5f)

When this reverberates through your heart, when you finally comprehend the depth of this, you'd know that there's nothing; no pain, no calamity that could take away the peace that this brings to your heart when you murmur it.

A simple phrase, light on the tongue, yet so, so, heavy in reality.

رضيت بالله ربا و بالإسلام دينا
و بمحمد صلى الله عليه وسلم نبيا

Say it when you feel the enemies of our Rabb plotting against you, say it when they cuff and shackle you, when they confine you, when they seperate you from your loved ones, when they threaten you and your loved ones with torture. Say it when they harm your body in ways that you never deemed possible, say it when they touch your sisters and try to tarnish their honour, say it when you see them rolling the head of your beloved with wicked snares. Say it when you stumble across a torn limb of your brethren. Say it when you helplessly hear the screams of your mothers and sisters. Say it when the suffering becomes almost unbearable. Say it. And imagine the depth of these words. Know that every bit of these sacrifices is worth it. Know that ease and victory is just around the corner bi-'idhnillāh. And know that your Lord is not unaware, so do what you must, say it and wait for His Plans to unfold
(Say it even if you don't feel the depth of it, eventually you will, bi-'idhnillāh)

رضيت بالله ربا و بالإسلام دينا
و بمحمد صلى الله عليه وسلم نبيا

This is what makes men, men. This is what makes the lion raise his head up, smiling, towards the glinting sword as it comes to slash down on his neck.

This is what makes the mujahid sprint forward towards the enemy front lines because the dunya becomes worthless and Jannah becomes worth every bit. This is what makes the muhajireen leave all behind and start the journey to the unknown, with their reliance only upon their Lord. Because all they see infront is the pleasures of Jannah.

رضيت بالله ربا و بالإسلام دينا
و بمحمد صلى الله عليه وسلم نبيا ..

This is what made the widowed muhajirah, to take her four little orphaned girls, alone, from the masjid of baghuz- amidst the bombings, the shots whizzing past from every direction, the smoke, the ruins, knowing that the enemy was close by- towards the baghuz enclavement- the 'final stronghold & pocket'

رضيت بالله ربا و بالإسلام دينا
و بمحمد صلى الله عليه وسلم نبيا...

This is what strengthened them to endure the unimaginable for weeks, following the perfect example of our prophet ﷺ and the sahabah رضي الله عنهم

And I pray that this is what made الله to grant her Du'a when she said that she was tired and only wanted to rest in Jannah now.

She was pleased to follow the Sunnah of the prophet ﷺ and endure hardship for the sake of your Deen, ya الله. She was happy! Please be pleased with her as she was pleased with you as her Lord, with Islam as her Deen and Rasulullah ﷺ as her prophet and messenger. Please be pleased with them all, Rabbi..

This is a tribute to Umm Ubaydah Al-Maldifi, and the precious little pearls; Umamah and Zainab and all our brave lions, lionness, Cubs and Pearls, for they made me realise the true depth of these words. May الله accept every sacrifice from them, elevate them as shuhadha of the highest rank and unite us where there is no seperation..but love and joy 🖤

"And (soon) your Lord is going to give you, and you will be well-pleased"

..till then, have patience in worshipping your Lord..
