DELIGHT AND HAPPINESS

The deeper the servant reflects on the manifest and hidden favours and blessing of Allāh [with regards] to worldly and religious affairs, the more he sees that his Lord has granted him so much goodness and has distanced him from countless worries and sadness. There is no doubt that all this removes sadness and sorrow and replaces them with delight and happiness.

AND ENJOY HIS COMPANY

one should not take advantage of his brother's status and wealth. Rather, one should take his mind from the stress of his duties and responsibilities. One should not make his brother feel obliged to check on him, fulfill his rights and show humbleness to him. Rather, the only motive for his love and relationship with him is the pleasure of Allāh alone and the hope to enjoy the blessings of his supplications (i.e. when supplicating for him) and enjoy his company and benefit from his religiousness and draw oneself near to Allāh through fulfilling his right, and remove all the barriers so that one deals with his brothers as if they are himself.

He said/she said:

It is reported that news reached Hudhaifah that a certain man carried tales. Upon this he remarked:

I heard Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) saying:

لاَ يَدْخُلُ الْجَنَّةَ نَمَّامٌ

“The malicious tale carrier will not enter Paradise.”

(Muslim 105)

And the Salaf would regard the tale-carrier who seeks to destroy marriages as harmful as a magician,

“what the scandal-monger achieves in a day, takes the magician a year to achieve!”

Al-Jinn - 72:12

Arabic
وَأَنَّا ظَنَنَّآ أَن لَّن نُّعۡجِزَ ٱللَّهَ فِى ٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَلَن نُّعۡجِزَهُۥ هَرَبًا

English - Mohsin Khan/Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali
'And we think that we cannot escape (from the punishment of) Allah in the earth, nor can we escape (from the punishment) by flight.

English - Ibn Kathir
And we think that we cannot escape Allah in the earth, nor can we escape Him by flight.

meaning, `we know that the power of Allah is decisive over us and that we cannot escape Him in the earth. Even if we try to flee, we know that He has complete control over us and that none of us can escape Him.
Ibn 'Abbas said :

"Love for Allah and hate for Allah, make your enmity because of Allah and your allegiance because of Allah; for indeed, the love and support of Allah is not achieved except through this. And a man will never taste true faith – though he may pray and fast much – except when he is like that. Today, the people's brotherhood is based upon worldly considerations, but this will not do anything for them on the Day of Resurrection."

[Az-Zuhd wa ar-Raqa'iq 353]
‎Fudayl Ibn 'Iyyad رحمه الله said:

‎"Be wary of guiding people to Allāh and then you losing your own way. Seek Allāh's protection always from becoming a bridge which is crossed to get to Paradise, but then is thrown into the Fire."

‎[Siyar 'alām an-Nubalā, 6/291]

AYAH OF THE DAY

Al-Muzzammil 73:20

Verily, your Lord knows that you do stand (to pray at night) a little less than two-thirds of the night, or half the night, or a third of the night, and so do a party of those with you, And Allah measures the night and the day. He knows that you are unable to pray the whole night, so He has turned to you (in mercy). So, recite you of the Quran as much as may be easy for you. He knows that there will be some among you sick, others travelling through the land, seeking of Allah's Bounty; yet others fighting in Allah's Cause. So recite as much of the Quran as may be easy (for you), and perform As-Salat (Iqamat-as-Salat) and give Zakat, and lend to Allah a goodly loan, and whatever good you send before you for yourselves, (i.e. Nawafil non-obligatory acts of worship: prayers, charity, fasting, Hajj and 'Umrah, etc.), you will certainly find it with Allah, better and greater in reward. And seek Forgiveness of Allah. Verily, Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most-Merciful.
