I complained to my friend, that it hurts when I try hard with others when they show no appreciation nor return it with kindness. My friend replied to me with words which meant so much to me to hear.
He said to me; “Your efforts, your living and your dying are all for Allah. so what if they dont appreciate it, Allah appreciates it. Do you seek a reward from the people when Allah has the greatest of rewards? Sabr, and to Allah returns all affairs.”

Among them is a man who commits an evil deed in the night that Allah has hidden for him, then in the morning he says: O people, I have committed this sin! His Lord had hidden it during the night, but in the morning he reveals what Allah has hidden.”
