Turn back to Allah in repentance, and start afresh with new hopes and determination Let us aspire to be Ibaadu-Rahman, among the Muhsinin who remind others of Allah with our beautiful akhlaq, in the way we try to emulate Rasululllah ﷺ in every way of life, our humbleness, kindness and down to earth nature; our compassion and mercy towards the believers and Jama'ah while being strict and harsh against the disbelievers. Let's us strive to do whatever pleases Allah and steer away from what may displease Him.

◽️Az-Zumar 39:53-58

Say: "O ‘Ibâdî (My slaves) who have transgressed against themselves (by committing evil deeds and sins)! Despair not of the Mercy of Allâh: verily, Allâh forgives all sins. Truly He is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

And turn in repentance and in obedience with true Faith (Islâmic Monotheism) to your Lord and submit to Him (in Islâm) before the torment comes upon you, (and) then you will not be helped.

And follow the best of that which is sent down to you from your Lord (i.e. this Qur’ân, do what it orders you to do and keep away from what it forbids), before the torment comes on you suddenly while you perceive not!

◽️Al-Ma'idah 5:54

O you who believe! Whoever from among you turns back from his religion (Islâm), Allâh will bring a people whom He will love and they will love Him; humble towards the believers, stern towards the disbelievers, fighting in the Way of Allâh, and never fear of the blame of the blamers. That is the Grace of Allâh which He bestows on whom He wills. And Allâh is All-Sufficient for His creatures’ needs, All-Knower.

◽️An-Nisa' 4:26-27

Allâh wishes to make clear (what is lawful and what is unlawful) to you, and to show you the ways of those before you, and accept your repentance, and Allâh is All-Knower, All-Wise.

Be the righteous friend:

The righteous friend reminds you of your Lord whenever you become heedless of His remembrance; he helps you and joins you when you are remembering your Lord.

◽️The Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: “The believers (in their mutual support) are like a structure, parts of which support other parts” – and he interlaced his fingers. Agreed upon.

◽️An-Nawawi (may Allah have mercy on him) said:

This report clearly refers to the great rights that the Muslims have over one another, and urges them to show compassion to one another, be kind to one another and support one another in anything that is not sinful or disliked.

The righteous friend is the one who does not look for or seek out the faults of his brothers; rather he seeks excuses for them.

◽️Ibn Maazin said: The believer tries to find excuses for his brothers, whereas the hypocrite seeks out their faults.

◽️Al-Fudayl ibn ‘Iyaad said: Chivalry is to overlook the errors of your brothers.

Aadaab al-‘Ishrah (p. 1-3).

◽️The righteous friend is the one from whose words and actions the Muslims are safe, as the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said describing the Muslim.

◽️Abu’l-Fayd ibn Ibraaheem al-Misri said: You should keep company with one from whose harm you are safe, seeing him encourages you to do good, and he reminds you of your Lord.

Aadaab al-‘Ishrah (p. 3).

◽️The characteristics of the righteous friend include his cheerful manner, gentle speech, big-heartedness, generosity, suppression of anger, and avoiding arrogant behaviour; he shows respect and expresses joy for what he is blessed with of the friendship and brotherhood of others.

◽️His heart is free of rancour, and he offers sincere advice to his brothers and accepts it from them.

◽️He is easy-going with his brothers and does not go against them in matters that are right and proper; he refrains from criticizing them.

◽️Righteous friends love to visit one another, meet one another and be generous to one another; they are cheerful when they meet and shake hands warmly.

Muslim (2567) narrated from Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: “A man visited a brother of his in another town, and Allah sent an angel to wait for him on the road. When he came to him, he said: Where are you headed? He said: I am headed to a brother of mine in this town. He said: Have you done him any favour for which you hope to be recompensed? He said: No, but I love him for the sake of Allah, may He be glorified and exalted. He said: I am a messenger from Allah to you, to tell you that Allah loves you as you love him for His sake.”

Magnitude of His Forgiveness

'Abd Al-Malik ibn Marwān (d.86H), gave a touching sermon one day. He stopped midway and began to weep, saying:

"O Rabb, my sins are immense and yet a speck of your forgiveness is truly greater, so erase with a speck of your forgiveness the greatness of my sins."

When Al-Hasan al-Basrī was informed of these words, he too wept and said:

"If words could be written in gold, I would write this."

📚 #NEW | MUSLIM WOMEN & UNIVERSITY EDUCATION | Foreword by Shaykh Ahmad Jibrīl

"This humble effort is intended to clarify the general ruling on the issue of free-mixed, secular universities, with a more specific focus on the attendance of Muslim women. Additionally, it aims to respond to doubts brought forth by those in the Ummah who have been affected by the low standards and lifestyles of the disbelievers. We ask Allāh to make it beneficial for all who read it, and that it be sincerely for His sake." [Author's Introduction]

"I encourage all of our sisters, brothers, fathers, and mothers to read this book and share it with their respective families... It leaves no room for the feminists and modernists alike to bring forth their futile and flimsy arguments..."
