Three girls in the south of Gaza, each sharing their own personal tragedies of the war. One girl speaks of her grandmother dying from hunger and her uncle, a grown man with a mustache, crying from hunger before dying from thirst, compounded by kidney disease and a lack of water and hospital access. Another recounts the horror of her house being bombarded, which resulted in the martyrdom of her father and siblings, leaving only her and her mother, who miraculously survived under the rubble. The third girl tells of being displaced by war, witnessing her uncle's cries of hunger in the north, and grappling with the death of her grandmother from hunger, questioning what she did to deserve such a fate.

اللهُمَّ فُكَّ قَيْدَ أَسْرَانَا وَأَسْرىَ المُسْلِمِِينَ، اللهُمَّ فُكَّ قَيْدَ أَسْرَانَا وَأَسْرَى المُسْلِمِِينَ، اللهُمَّ فُكَّ قَيْدَ أَسْرَانَا وَأَسْرَى المُسْلِمِِينَ، وَرُدَّهُمْ إِلُى أَهْلِهِمْ سَالِمِينَ،

Allahumma fukka qayda asrana wa asral-muslimeen, Allahumma fukka qayda asranaa wa asral-muslimeen, Allahumma fukka qayda asrana wa asral-muslimeen, wa ruddahum ilaa ahlihim salimeen.

"O Allah! Break free the shackles of our prisoners and the prisoners of the Muslims. O Allah! Break free the shackles of our prisoners and the prisoners of the Muslims. O Allah! Break free the shackles of our prisoners and the prisoners of the Muslims, and return them safely to their families."

Allahumma innahum fi hajatin ‘ajilatin ila rahamatik, Allahumma innahum fi haajatin ‘ajilatin ila rahamatik, Allahumma innahum fi haajatin ‘ajilatin ila rahamatik, fa anzil alayhim rahamatika Ya Rahmanu, Ya Raheem, fa anzil alayhim rahamatika Ya Rahmaanu Ya Raheem.

"O Allah! They are in urgent need of Your Mercies. O Allah! They are in urgent need of Your Mercies. O Allah! they are in urgent need of Your Mercies, so send upon them Your Mercies. O Most Merciful, O Most Kind, so send upon them Your Mercies O Most Merciful, O Most Kind."

اللهُمَّ مَنْ آذَاهُمْ فَآذِهِ وَمَنْ عَادَاهُمْ فَعَادِهِ

Allahumma man adhahum fa adhihi, wa man adahum fa adihi.

"O Allah! Whoever has harmed them, then harm him, and whoever has shown enmity to them, then show enmity to them."

لا إِلهَ إِلا أَنْتَ سُبْحَانَكَ، إِنَّ كُنَّا مِنَ الظَالِمِينَ.

La ilaha illa anta subhanaka, inna kunna minadh-dhalimeen.

"There is none worthy of worship but You, Glory be to You, Truly we have been of the wrongdoers."

Allahuma آمين

Day 20 🕌

Sheikh Al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah (رحمه الله) said:

أيام عشر ذي الحجة أفضل من أيام العشر من رمضان، وليالي العشر الأواخر من رمضان أفضل من ليالي عشر ذي الحجة.

“The (first) ten days of Dhul-Hijjah are more virtuous than the (last) ten days of (the blessed month of) Ramaḍān, and the last ten nights of Ramadan are more virtuous than the (first) ten nights of Dhul-Hijjah.”

Imām Ibn al-Qayyim (رحمه الله) commented and said:

إذا تأمل الفاضل اللبيب هـذا الجواب، وجده شافياً كافياً.

"If the virtuous and intelligent one was to reflect upon this answer, he would find it satisfactory and sufficient."
