Narrated Ibn `Abbas:
Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) used to say at the time of difficulty, "None has the right to be worshipped but Allah, the Majestic, the Most Forbearing. None has the right to be worshipped but Allah, the Lord of the Tremendous Throne. None has the right to be worshipped but Allah, the Lord of the Heavens and the Lord of the Honourable Throne.

'Abdullah bin Mas'ud narrated that the Messenger of Allah said:
"Verbally abusing the Muslim is disobedience and fighting him is disbelief." Zubaid said:"I said to Abu Wa'il: 'Did you hear it from 'Abdullah?' He said: 'Yes.'"

Focus on your own journey, not others.
Your competition isn't other people.
Your competition is your procrastination. Your ego. Your Nafs. The Fitnah you expose yourself to. Your lack of modesty. The unhealthy food you're consuming, the knowledge (ilm) you neglect. The negative behaviour you're nurturing and your lack of action.
Compete against that.
You need to ignore what everyone else is doing and achieving. Your life is about breaking your own limits, outgrowing your previous self and to live a life that pleases Allah. You are not in competition with anyone else. Plan to outdo your past, not other people. And if you choose to compete with someone in this dunya, let it be in piety and good actions.
While you were busy focusing on what everyone else was doing, you forgot what Allah had asked you to do and neglected your responsibility towards yourself.

Narrated Abu Huraira:
Allah's Apostle said, "Whoever has oppressed another person concerning his reputation or anything else, he should beg him to forgive him before the Day of Resurrection when there will be no money (to compensate for wrong deeds), but if he has good deeds, those good deeds will be taken from him according to his oppression which he has done, and if he has no good deeds, the sins of the oppressed person will be loaded on him."
Sahih Bukhari Volume 3, Book 43, Number 629:
