🇺🇸 US fears a major war in Lebanon, calls on Israeli officials to visit the Pentagon ASAP
Israeli Defense Minister Gallant will soon visit the USA according to the Pentagon spokesman, in their last conversation a few days ago.
Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin invited Gallant to visit the Pentagon to discuss security developments in the Middle East. Gallant accepted the invitation.
Gallant's expected visit to the US comes amid American fears of an all-out war between Israel and Hezbullah on the Lebanese border.
This morning, the American CBS network reported that senior officials in the United States express fear of such a wide escalation, which would require intervention by the United States.
The US assess that without their help, the Israeli army will face huge set of obstacles and failures.

📄 The Israeli army disobeys the government, implements a daily 12 hour truce
The Israeli military says it will carry out a daily "tactical pause of military activity" in areas of the southern Gaza Strip to enable humanitarian aid to be delivered to Palestinians.
The IDF says the pause will take place between 8:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. every day along a road that leads from the Kerem Shalom Crossing to the Salah a-Din road, and then northward toward the Khan Younis area.
In reality, this step was done because the Israeli army lost direction and is facing difficulties there with the lack of political will to act with full force in Rafah. This is causing casualties in their ranks and giving Hamas ability to maneuver.
This announcement didn't sit well with the Israeli prime minister, who issued an angry statement announcing this truce was not approved by him:

Oded Yinon, former official advisor for Ariel Sharon, published a plan in 1982 suggests that Israel should seek to ensure its regional dominance by fragmenting the neighboring Arab states into smaller, weaker entities. This would involve exploiting ethnic, religious, and sectarian divisions within these countries to create a mosaic of smaller, more manageable states.
Key Elements of the Yinon Plan:
1. Jordan: Yinon suggests that Jordan should be transformed into a Palestinian state, thereby ethnically cleansing all palestinians in the west bank to Jordan, resolving the issue of Palestinian nationalism and reducing the demographic and political pressures on Israel.
2. Iraq: The plan calls for the division of Iraq into three distinct entities based on ethnic and sectarian lines: a Kurdish state in the north, a Sunni state in the center, and a Shiite state in the south.
3. Egypt: The plan advocates for the division of Egypt into several smaller states, including a Coptic Christian state, which would weaken the country's central authority and diminish its threat to Israel.
4. Syria: The strategy proposes fragmenting Syria into an Alawite state along the coast, a Sunni state in the center, a Kurdish region in the north, and a Druze state in the south to capitalize on existing ethnic and sectarian divisions.
5. Lebanon: It suggests dividing Lebanon into Maronite Christian, Sunni, Shia, and Druze states to reflect its sectarian diversity and reduce its capability to challenge Israel.
During the George W. Bush administration, several officials and neoconservative thinkers were influenced by similar ideas such as Paul Wolfowitz, Douglas Feith and David Wurmser, following 9/11, these officials promoted aggressive foreign policies that resulted in the destabilization and fragmentation of Iraq and other Middle Eastern countries, aligning with the broader strategic objectives of the Yinon Plan.
With the most extremist far right religious government in israel's history taking power, the plan seems to be reviving among Israeli officials, financial minister Smotritch gave a speech in Paris while standing behind greater israel map, in 2021.

📋 Israel's mostly reserve army is refusing to join the army again
The percentage of soldiers showing up for the a new round of reserve duty is in sharp decline and the solutions are running out.
An officer said that there's no way to tell them to come after they've already given 140 days of their year. Many commanding officers have already said so.
In some battalions, at most 60% of the soldiers are coming to duty, and this number is likely going to decrease after the new government order to extend the reserve duty. Israel's doctrine was always short wars and its small professional army cannot operate soundly for long against a strong adversary.
One of the commanders said that the IDF lacks thousands of fighters and at least 15 battalions. The army is based on reserves, it has always been this way, but now the long war is causing significant attrition.
A reserve Armor Major added: "I will give you an example through two tank commanders that I have in the battalion. One is 47 years old and the other is 49 years old. Both of them haven't trained for almost ten years, they don't know the crew in their tank nor the fighters with them in the company.
✍ Unlike Israel's infantry, Hezbullah's infantry is still fresh from the box
