He was just convicted of waving a tiki torch with intent to intimidate (felony) at the Cville night rally, a flagrant violation of his 1st Amendment rights.
I have no doubt in my mind that he will successfully appeal his verdict.

Remember, Fred Phelps of the Wesboro Baptist Church took his “hate speech” case (Snyder v. Phelps) all the way to SCOTUS. He is the reason why SCOTUS ruled hate speech is protected speech under the first amendment.
Augustus is capable and willing to set such precedent himself. I wish him the best of luck. The movement needs men like him willing to go all the way for ALL of OUR rights.
