I met with American pastor Franklin Graham, President of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association and Samaritan’s Purse.

We discussed expanding humanitarian initiatives: establishing medical centers, rehabilitation of veterans, and providing assistance to orphans and people affected by the war who were forced to flee their homes.

I expressed my gratitude for the sincere support of Ukraine: for the assistance to children, our people, hospitals, and churches. I am thankful for the prayers, compassion, and financial support — it is important and highly valuable.

U.S. citizens should not travel to Venezuela for any reason and should avoid Venezuelan borders with Colombia, Brazil, and Guyana. Venezuela has the highest Travel Advisory level - Level 4: Do Not Travel - due to severe risks to Americans including wrongful detention, torture in detention, terrorism, kidnapping, arbitrary enforcement of local laws, crime, civil unrest, and poor health infrastructure.

More U.S. nationals are currently wrongfully detained in Venezuela than in any other country. U.S. citizens in Venezuela should depart immediately.

Defense assistance, investments in Ukraine’s defense industry, and support for our path to European integration were the main topics of our meeting with the President of the German Bundestag, Julia Kloeckner.

We discussed ways to bring a just and lasting peace closer. So far, Russia has made no moves in that direction. It is crucial to act together to stop its aggression.

We thank Germany for its decision to allocate 7 billion euros in military aid to Ukraine this year. We also addressed the possibility of increasing this amount — we are counting on parliamentary support.
