🇨🇴 Colombia’s far-left president Gustavo Petro has appointed the transgender man Charlotte Schneider as Colombia’s new Minister of Women.
🇨🇴❤️‍🔥🏳️‍⚧️ — Colombia names trans for woman's deputy ministry

➡️ Colombian President Gustavo Petro has appointed Charlotte Schneider Callejas as the new Vice Minister for Women's Affairs in the Ministry of Equality and Equity. The decision, published in an foficial decree, quickly sparked political and social debate in the South American country.

➡️ The central point of the controversy lies in Schneider's identity: a trans woman of foreign origin, in the position created to represent Colombian women.

➡️ The appointment follows that of Juan Carlos Florián Silva, the current Minister of Equality. Before taking office, he worked as a porn actor and had already drawn criticism for the way he exposed his personal life in interviews.

➡️ Now, with Schneider, two of the ministry's key portfolios are in the hands of officials who divide the country.

🇪🇨⚠️ — The Government of Ecuador denounced an assassination attempt against President Daniel Noboa after his motorcade was attacked in Cañar. Five detainees face terrorism charges following the failed attack, from which the president emerged unharmed.

Despite the attack by a group on the presidential motorcade in Cañar — which was en route to announce the construction of a $4.5 million treatment plant that will benefit 26,000 residents, deliver the $891,000 Sigsihuayco sewage system, and present the financing agreement for the $815,000 Quilloac sewage system — the destabilizers failed to stop the National Government.

Following orders to radicalize, they attacked a presidential motorcade carrying civilians. They tried, by force, to prevent the delivery of a project meant to improve the lives of a community.

We are doing what we are meant to do, and they cannot stop us: reaching every corner of the country where families need infrastructure, services, and the presence of their President.

All detainees will be prosecuted for terrorism and attempted murder.

🇨🇳🇹🇼⭐️ Rybar Asia:

"Operation "Decapitation": how are the Chinese preparing for a conflict over Taiwan?

As the potential conflict date in the Taiwan Strait approaches, more and more alarms are being raised in the information space about it. Most often, this is done by Taiwanese media, but now the Japanese media are joining in.

The publication "Sankei Shimbun" published a satellite image from the well-known training ground in China. It shows models of Taiwanese government buildings.

The last time satellite images were published was in 2020. Over the past five years, the Chinese have not been idle — the section of the training ground with Taiwanese buildings has increased threefold.

🖍At the military base, models of the Taiwanese parliament and one of the Ministry of Defense buildings have appeared, and the construction of a mock-up of the local Ministry of Foreign Affairs has been completed. There are also a couple of new structures, including an underground tunnel connecting the model of the presidential palace with the parliament.

🚩The buildings are needed to practice operations of "decapitation", that is, the elimination of the island's military-political leadership during a potential conflict. They are also ideal for psychological impact — especially when footage of exercises at the training ground gets into the public domain, as it did in 2015.

❗️Of course, conducting such exercises does not yet mean that a conflict in the Taiwan Strait is inevitable. But the Chinese are actively preparing for it, paying special attention to immersing servicemen in the realities of combat operations. This means that engineering work will not end with the already built models.

Putin said that Under Pilsudski's leadership, Poland made many mistakes and provoked Hitler who wanted to find a peaceful solution
🗣🗯🇵🇱🕊🙋‍♂️🤚📰 ZeroHedge | Clarifying Putin's Comments About Poland's Pre-World War II Policy | Authored by Andrew Korybko via Substack | October 6, 2025:

"Putin commented on Poland’s pre-World War II policy during the Q&A session that followed his speech at the Valdai Club’s latest annual meeting.

(...)

“Poland made many mistakes before World War II. After all, Germany offered them a peaceful resolution to the Danzig and Danzig Corridor issue, but the Polish leadership of the time categorically refused and ultimately fell first victim to Nazi aggression.

And Poland completely rejected something else—but historians probably know this—at that time, Poland refused the Soviet Union’s aid to Czechoslovakia. The Soviet Union was prepared to do so; we have documents in our archives, I’ve read them all myself. When the notes were written to Poland, Poland said it would under no circumstances allow Russian troops to aid Czechoslovakia, and if Soviet planes flew, Poland would shoot them down—and ultimately, it fell first victim to Nazi aggression.

If today’s top political family in Poland also remembers, understanding all the complexities and twists and turns of historical eras of various kinds, and it keeps these mistakes in mind when consulting with Pilsudski, then this would actually be a good thing.”

He’s arguably making two historical points that he then hopes his new Polish counterpart will generalize and consequently apply in the present. They’re that World War II might have been avoided had Poland allowed the Soviets to come to Czechoslovakia’s aid against Nazi Germany or then later peacefully resolved their own dispute without resisting and officially embroiling its formal British and French mutual defense allies in what ultimately became a continental tragedy. This is the Russian position.

As for the Polish one, they feared that the first scenario would lead to the Red Army seizing the Polish-controlled parts of Western Belarus and Ukraine that they partitioned after the Polish-Bolshevik War, thus coercing Poland into becoming a Soviet client state after the Nazis’ defeat. Regarding the second scenario, they feared that ceding Danzig would lead to more cessions of formerly Prussian-partitioned Poland, thus coercing Poland into becoming a Nazi client state."

🇷🇺🇺🇦 Frontline realities of 2025

Small squads are fighting a huge war. A "strongpoint" can be held by a handful — two, three, or four people. The line of contact has been completely transformed. In 2023 our mission was to get a company into a village with ten BMP-3s. That was already difficult back then.

Now the vehicles sit tens of kilometers from the LOC. If in 2023 those same BMP-3s could play the role of little tanks, today they’re unlikely to reach a firing position. Not because the vehicles are "obsolete" — it’s that, for whatever reason, they can’t be systematically protected or covered from the main threat: kamikaze drones.

Here’s what “getting there” looks like for a regular infantryman. It’s a full march now. With all your kit — roughly 30 kilos — you get dropped 10–15 kilometers from the point where you will actually fight. Some approaches run up to 30 kilometers. Other routes, under forest cover, let you leap to within a few kilometers of the LOC. Beyond that, resupply and movement rely on ATVs, dirt bikes, and whatever sort of sketchy electric scooters people are improvising. The rear area now begins some 50 kilometers from the LOC.

The hardest part is getting there. Routes and lines of communication are being mined — via drones. Improvised mines and booby traps are shoved into medkits, casings are smeared with glue and covered with grass, scores of small bomblets are scattered on trails, and where you can see a wheel track there are large magnetic mines. If you don’t know how all these mines look, you will step on one.

The route is the single most dangerous segment. Small Mavics constantly watch movement and can instantly pass coordinates to an FPV strike team or an artillery battery. On the LOC itself — in a dugout — it can be less dangerous than on the way to it. The common pattern now: guys sit holed up for a month or two and pull through with no losses, then get into trouble on the exit.

There is no organized mechanized resupply. Everything moves on foot. The best you can hope for is a gutsy motorcyclist who’ll dash in and get out. At night the nastiness wakes up. Large drones with thermal sensors drop mortar rounds. If you haven't found your fighting position before sunset — you die.

That leads to the core problem. You can’t amass forces or sustain large numbers on the LOC anymore. That’s true for both sides. To fix this and start winning systematically you need unit-authorized ATVs, large logistics drones, small evacuation buggies, and drone interceptors. Right now all of those are off the books — bought privately or cobbled together through aid channels.

Micro-teams must do everything. There are no dedicated combat engineers, signalers, or medics in many units. You have to know it all yourself. First — navigation and working with mobile maps; second — radio and signal procedures; third — explosive ordnance recognition and basic EOD tradecraft. Without those skills you’ll get physically lost, lose contact with those who could help, and step on a little woolly thing in no-man’s land that will end you.

The gray zone is now about 2–3 kilometers. In that "no-man’s territory" there’s nothing but abandoned 200s and mines. It’s crushing for fighters’ morale. The enemy will often break and run after taking their first losses during an assault. The quality of their troops — you can see the forced draft and degradation for yourself. Even their special units have lost their old edge. Still, the bottom line is we can barely reach them.
