🇨🇳 The PRC has already begun building its 4th aircraft carrier, designated currently as the Type 004.

From what is known currently, the Type 004 class carrier will be larger than the USS Gerald R. Ford. It will be powered by a nuclear reactor, it will have an electromagnetic catapult (EMALS) and will be able to house up to 100 aircraft. It has a displacement of between 110-120k tons

There are rumours that the PRC will build a 5th carrier simultaneously but those remain unconfirmed so far.

🇺🇦 The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) conducted searches at the home of businessman Timur Mindich, one of President Zelensky's closest associates.

Investigative actions began this morning in Kyiv, but Mindich allegedly fled Ukraine to Israel hours before cops kicked down his door.

Mindich embezzled European and American funds meant for the procurement of drones through his associated firm, FirePoint, is the biggest contractor of drones.

Mindich was also involved in energy market schemes. Investigators wiretapped his apartment and may have captured conversations with high-ranking officials, including the Ukrainian President, Vladimir Zelensky.

Simultaneously, searches are also underway at the home of Justice Minister and former Energy Minister Herman Galushchenko.

Furthermore, Mikhail and Alexander Tsukerman, described as Mindich’s “financial operators,” urgently left the country on the eve of the searches. They too fled to Israel.

They are also implicated in the FBI's money laundering investigation.

Thus, we are talking about a possible transnational scheme involving Ukrainian officials, businesses, defense contracts embezzling European, American, British, Canadian, Norwegian and Japanese funds meant for the Ukrainian army, same army which has a shortage of everything, from ammunition to vehicles, spare parts so on and so forth.

Investigators raided dozens of locations across Ukraine including the homes of Mindich, Galushchenko and the Tsukerman brothers and found dozens of duffel bags containing hundreds of cash stacks in dollars, euros and gryvnia.

🇪🇺 President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, is creating her personal intelligence agency

This EU intel agency will be collecting information provided by every intel agency of every member state and centralize this information to improve the union's security.

The subject is controversial as, despite claiming unity in public, many of the EU's members are reluctant to share information with one another. The newspaper FT writes that France and most EU countries would be reluctant to share information with Hungary.

Austria has long been criticised of being the EU's most vulnerable area, highly exposed to Russian intelligence and spying.

So far, only France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, Sweden and the UK share intelligence with one another but that began in the aftermath of the September 11th attacks and in 2011 this exchange had been institutionalized in the form of the European External Action Service (EEAS).

This initiative started by von der Leyen is yet another power grab from member states to the central government in Brussels, with Trump's disinterest in defending Europe and Russia's hybrid war being given as reasons to centralize power even further.

As this new intel agency will be created by the Commission, other institutions like the European Parliament and the European Council won't have any overseeing powers with its activities and monitoring being known only by Ursula and her trusted confidants.

"US suspends arms deals with Europe worth billions of dollars. Arms supplies to Ukraine at risk

According to the Axios portal, the US State Department was forced to suspend arms deals worth more than $5 billion due to the shutdown. The suspension of supplies may affect Ukraine's provisioning.

“This really harms both our allies and partners, as well as the American industry that must provide many critically important systems abroad,” a senior State Department official told Axios in an interview.

The suspension concerns AMRAAM air-to-air missiles, Aegis missile defense systems, and Himars MLRS intended for Denmark, Croatia, and Poland. The final destination of the supplies is unclear, but US arms deals with NATO allies are often used to support Ukraine.

Reason for the delay — legislative procedures and staff shortages
According to the Arms Export Control Act, Congress is required to review such deals. However, many State Department employees responsible for informing Congressional committees and completing procedures have been sent on forced leave, causing the delay. Republicans blame Democrats for the ongoing shutdown.

“Democrats are blocking important arms sales, including to NATO allies, weakening American industry and jeopardizing the security of the US and our partners,” State Department spokesperson Tommy Pigott said in a comment to Axios.

The situation is particularly acute because China and Russia continue to act without restrictions. In an interview with Axios, Senate Foreign Relations Committee Chairman James Risch (Republican, Idaho) said:

“Their efforts to undermine the US and our allies are made easier while our industry suffers and allies’ needs remain unmet.”

"Unknown drones spotted in Belgium — over the airport and nuclear power plant

On the evening of November 9, drones were seen over Liège Airport. Because of this, air traffic was suspended for about an hour. Then, around 10 p.m., several flying devices also appeared over the Doel nuclear power plant. According to the Belga agency, there were three drones.

The energy company Engie meanwhile reported that the drones did not pose a threat. As its representative Hellen Smits stated, their detection did not affect the operation of the nuclear plant.

“The competent units continue to closely monitor the situation,” she assured the RTBF channel.

Just a few days ago, drones were also spotted over the Kleine-Brogel military base — a facility used by both Belgium and NATO. According to unconfirmed reports, this airbase is one of the storage sites for American nuclear weapons in Europe.
