Security personnel at the American Consulate General in Karachi, Pakistan, opened fire on Pakistani Shias attempting to breach into the compound.

10 people were killed in the parking lot of the Consulate General. If American citizens were involved in the shooting, it may cause a diplomatic incident as the Pakistani protesters were killed on Pakistani soil, not American soil, as they were killed outside of the Consulate General.
