➡️ The Russian military equipment that Ecuador announced it would deliver to the US in exchange for more modern ones could be sent to Ukraine, said Kevin Sullivan, the Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Bureau of Western Hemisphere Affairs at the US State Department, in an interview with the Ecuadorian television channel Teleamazonas. "It is an arrangement to transfer equipment to the Government of Ukraine," he said.

⚠️ At the same time, the US official acknowledged that a decision has not yet been made, and that Ecuadorian President Daniel Noboa is studying it. "These are decisions of the Ecuadorian Government and are still under consideration," Sullivan stated.

🔼 Regarding the assistance to be provided to Ecuador, the Deputy Secretary pointed out that bilateral cooperation will focus on security and economic cooperation.

"We were all shocked by the attacks in Ecuador, and we want to further improve cooperation. We are reviewing the security programs we have to strengthen law enforcement capabilities in dealing with criminal organizations and also to support the Government of Ecuador in finding solutions to economic challenges."
