"🇨🇳 China refused to participate in the peace conference on Ukraine, which will be held in Switzerland

Chinese authorities have called participation in the upcoming peace summit in Switzerland “difficult.” The PRC justified its refusal by the fact that a delegation from Russia was not invited to the conference.

“The nature of the meeting does not meet China’s demands and the expectations of the international community. This makes it difficult for China to participate,” Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Mao Ning said today.

She said a peace conference should include "equal participation of all parties and fair discussion of all peace plans."

“Otherwise, it will be difficult for the conference to play a significant role in restoring peace,” Mao Ning added.

The Russian delegation was not invited to the meeting in Lucerne, which is scheduled to take place on June 15 and 16. At the same time, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky called on representatives of China, as well as US President Joe Biden, to take part in it."
