We have received multiple reports today from users in Brazil having difficulties installing the Proton VPN app on iOS devices via the Apple App Store. We can confirm that the issue is not on our side, but likely with the App Store itself, which is controlled by Apple. What makes this an extremely strange coincidence is that it is also impacting multiple other VPNs in the Brazilian app store.
Most likely, something has happened on the Apple side, and we do not know if it is accidental, or if Apple is secretly implementing a censorship order. But because of Apple's monopoly on iOS app distribution, there is no other way to get the app on iOS devices.
As a workaround for iOS users, we suggest trying the iOS beta version via Testflight ( https://protonvpn.com/blog/vpn-ios-beta/ ), or alternatively, a manual WireGuard setup can be used ( https://protonvpn.com/support/wireguard-manual-ios ) to access our VPN servers.
Note that Proton VPN apps are still available through all other platforms in Brazil (https://protonvpn.com/download) and other Proton Apps such as Proton Mail, Proton Drive and Proton Pass remain unaffected at this time.

🇻🇪 Oil spill reported off Venezuela's Caribbean coast
An oil spill, which appeared to originate from Venezuela's El Palito refinery several days ago, has contaminated a bay off the country's north-central coast in the Caribbean Sea, according to sources.
Biologist Eduardo Klein posted satellite images on X that he said showed an oil slick of about 225 square kilometers (87 square miles) in the Golfe Triste and completely covering Morrocoy National Park.
The El Palito refinery, with a capacity to process 146,000 barrels of crude oil per day, is Venezuela's smallest oil refining complex and located in the Puerto Cabello municipality on the coast of the central state of Carabobo.

The first U.S.-funded flight repatriating migrants who crossed into Panama irregularly is scheduled for Tuesday, the Panamanian president's office said on Monday.
The flights, which will carry both deported and voluntarily repatriated migrants, are part of an accord signed with the U.S. government last month.

"5,000 German soldiers build on Lithuania-Belarus border
Construction of a military base for a newly deployed German brigade started in Lithuania at the Rudninkai training ground on Monday, south of the capital Vilnius. German officials have said that the pace of relocation will depend on Lithuania’s readiness to receive soldiers and their families.
The brigade is expected to consist of around 5,000 soldiers. So far, Lithuania estimated that a third of them will come with their families. Berlin intends to keep a military brigade fully stationed in Lithuania until 2027.
