🌐🇺🇸 — Via an official statement, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg and META leadership admitted that Biden-Harris admin pressured company to censor American, particularly regarding COVID-19 content and Hunter Biden's Laptop

➡️ On August 26, 2024 AD, Zuckerberg made the admission in a letter to House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, more than a year after providing the committee with thousands of documents as part of its investigation into content moderation on online platforms.

➡️ Along with documents, the Meta CEO said, the company has provided a dozen employees to be available for transcribed interviews, stressing Meta’s cooperation with the investigation.

"There’s a lot of talk right now around how the U.S. government interacts with companies like Meta, and I want to be clear about our position," Zuckerberg wrote. "Our platforms are for everyone – we’re about promoting speech and helping people connect in a safe and secure way. As part of this, we regularly hear from governments around the world and others with various concerns around public discourse and public safety."

➡️ He told Jordan that in 2021, "senior officials" from the Biden administration and White House "repeatedly pressured our teams for months to censor certain COVID-19 content, including humor and satire."

➡️ When Facebook did not agree with the censorship, Zuckerberg said, the Biden administration expressed a lot of frustration.

🇦🇪🤝🌐 — The United Arab Emirates (UAE) calls on France to let it provide ‘all consular services’ for Durov, says ensuring care of UAE citizens is a ‘top priority’.

➡️ The United Arab Emirates has said it is following closely the case of Telegram messaging app founder and CEO Pavel Durov – who is an Emirati citizen – following his arrest and the extension of his initial detention by authorities in France.

➡️ The Russian-born Durov, 39, was detained on Saturday at Paris-Le Bourget Airport in France based on a judicial inquiry opened last month involving 12 unfounded alleged criminal violations involving his popular Telegram app, the Paris prosecutor’s office said.

➡️ The UAE’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement early on Tuesday that it was “closely following” Durov’s case and that it had “submitted a request to the French government to provide him with all consular services urgently”.

“Caring for citizens, preserving their interests, following up on their affairs, and providing them with all aspects of care are a top priority for the UAE,” the Arab Kingdoms' ministry said in the statement.

🇺🇾⚠️🇻🇪💥 — The Uruguayan Minister of the Interior, Nicolás Martinelli, has put the country on high alert due to the possible arrival of the Venezuelan criminal group Tren de Aragua and the growing use of the dangerous drug fentanyl

❗️ During the Latin American Security Summit in Guayaquil, Martinelli emphasized the need for the government to face these challenges with determination, although the presence of this organization in Uruguay has not yet been confirmed.

☠️ The Tren de Aragua, one of the most dangerous gangs in the region, is known for its brutality and networks in human trafficking, kidnapping, and drug trafficking. Additionally, the recent detection of fentanyl in the country has raised alarms among Uruguayan authorities, who warn of the devastating risk this drug poses to society.

Under Martinelli's leadership, the government is implementing strategies to combat these threats before they can establish a foothold.

🇫🇷🇪🇺✉️ French authorities issued arrest warrants for Telegram CEO Pavel Durov and his co-founder brother Nikolai in March, according to a French administrative document

The document indicates the French undercover investigation into Telegram is wider and began months earlier than previously known. The case revolves around Telegram’s refusal to cooperate with a French police enquiry into child sex abuse.

⚠️ The arrest warrants were issued after the messaging platform gave "no answer" to an earlier judicial request to identify a Telegram user, according to the document, which was shared with POLITICO by a person directly involved in the case.

The document also stresses "Telegram's almost non-existent cooperation" with both French and European authorities in other cases.

The warrants were issued after an undercover investigation into Telegram led by the cybercrime branch of the Paris prosecutor's office, during which a suspect discussed luring underaged girls into sending "self-produced child pornography," and then threatening to release it on social media.

The suspect also told the investigators he had raped a young child, according to the document. Telegram did not respond to the French authorities’ request to identify the suspect.

There’s no suggestion either of the Durov brothers were directly involved in any of the illegal activities identified by the investigation.

📝: From the horse's mouth: a French investigator admits that the whole charges brought on Durov are made up and are revenge because Durov refused to doxx European telegram users under the EU's information requests.

⚡️🇫🇷 Durov has been transferred to the court in Paris, here they will decide if he should be formally investigated following his arrest last week.

According to several reports his detention may be extended if he does not provide acces to his phone.

@medmannews
🇫🇷✉️ When the initial 96-hour questioning period ends, the investigating magistrate can either free Durov or press charges and remand him in custody.

He could also be freed under judicial control that could include restrictions on his movements.

Durov, who has been based in Dubai in recent years, arrived in Paris from the Azerbaijani capital Baku and was planning to have dinner in the French capital, a source close to the case said.

🇫🇷🇷🇺⚠️ BOMBSHELL: Pavel Durov claimed during police interrogation that he was lured to France by an invitation from President Macron for a lunch meeting.

However, instead of the anticipated lunch, Durov was met by local police upon his arrival at the airport.

While President Macron has not officially confirmed this, French politician Florian Philippot suggested that such a tactic would align with Macron's style.
