👆🏼 some are saying this reporter is the same one from "fiery but mostly peaceful" fame.
A gentle reminder:
On the morning of Jan 6, 2021, a legally-required number of legislators, both state and federal, were voicing objections and asking for more time to follow the process for investigating massive voting anomalies across the swing states.

The first vanguard of unprovoked, violent agents provacateurs breached the exterior while Trump was still speaking.

This was very different from the crowd who actually listened to Trump speak. They were largely tranquil when they arrived at the capitol grounds, singing patriotic songs and joining in prayer.

That only changed after Federal agents from various agencies began to indiscriminately fire explosives (flash bangs), gas (CS gas - which the media called a war crime in its use against ANTIFA burning down St John's church the prior May), and rubber bullets.

Those actions by the Federal agents have been shown from multiple vantage points across the complex to have been the point of agitation for the crowd that wasn't among the initial vanguard (who, again, skipped Trump's speech entirely).

It should be remembered that those state & federal legislators began the morning doing precisely what Trump supporters wanted - asking for time to fully investigate the (many, glaring) anomalies.

When Congress opened back into business (later the same day), Pelosi chose to open an entirely new session rather than reconvening the morning session.

Doing so prevented the legislators who wanted to follow the legal process to get time to investigate from doing so.

There are videos of them on the floor asking why they were being prevented from continuing the mornings process and being wholly ignored.

Summary: legislators were doing what Trump supporters wanted. The vanguard of agents provacateurs - the ones who were violent without being provoked - didn't even attend Trump's speech.

The legislative process to ask for investigations was ceased by those provacateurs. When congress re-opened, they were denied the ability to continue.

Cui Bono?

The core question - who benefitted - has been and was wholly ignored by the media and January 6th committee.

Ask yourself why we got so many lies (Sicknik) and obfuscations rather than an actual accounting of what happened and when.
A quick primer & anecdote on the absolute state of frauds, grifters, alarmists, and falsities surrounding the January 6th "official" narratives & media reporting.

I'm a human male who was raised in a Western society.

I don't know if you know that or can tell from my picture above, but I'm a male complete with the natural plumbing to back it up (and two children, to boot).

'Member that viral meme about men thinking about the Roman Republic several times a day that was everywhere last year?

Yeah...turns out Western males fancy Roman iconography and some of their history.

Add in a Special Operations background (again, a very male thing), being raised by USMIL officers, and a penchant for stoics like Seneca & Aurelius and military leaders like Julius and the Gaelic Wars and you get someone who really likes Roman art, writing, and iconography.

Pepper in a 50% Italian genome, and, well, all that and then some.

Side note: apparently the proper formula to get someone who will stand up to bullies and try to protect those who need it is 50% Italian + 50% Spanish Jew blood.

A spicy mix that doesn't like bullies, especially when they come in mobs and wear Black Blok attire from head to toe. Or when they wear MAGA gear to blend in from time to time.

Taking all that into consideration (which a few minutes of due diligence could have told any honest broker about what makes up my personality and certain decisions), take a look at the logo below - the one that I chose for our group, 1st Amendment Praetorian.

Many of the aforementioned class took it upon themselves to make up elaborate stories about that logo being evidence that our group was created with political motives and citing all kinds of political intrigue that the actual praetorian guard got into when they became corrupt.

In reality, I'm just a dude with a twig & giggleberries, half-Italian blood, and an ancient military enthusiast, who just likes thinking about ancient Rome.

Which, as it turns out, pretty much every male with natural testosterone in the West tends to do.

The media's mantra, however, seems far too often to be, "Don't let reality or truth get in the way of a good narrative."

It would be funny how deep they were willing to shovel absolute bullshit if it weren't so alarming.

Even more alarming, however, is how many grabbed a spoon and started eating it.
Spoiler: that phrase typically means it is none.
The Shitshow Macro Weekly Prep Podcast for Mon 6.17.24 is out:

Domestic Politics:
-The media has started with the (expected) “we have to grant amnesty because deporting people would cost too much or be too difficult.” Like toddlers, they want to be able to do the bad thing and then try to rationalize on the back end.

-The Daily Caller released a report today detailing an investigation that found Chinese Cyber police (in China) are directing Chinese illegal immigrants to and across the border.
--After investigating a phone found on one at the border, the report outlines how the illegals are being given everything from explicit navigation directions to contacts and even coaching on how to respond to CBP to ensure access across the US border - all from official CCP sources. Article link in the show notes.

-Independent media outlet Muckraker teased a new report, saying that it will, “expose the horrors of Biden’s lost 85,000 immigrant children in America.”
--Reminder: Trump started a program where children and adults they were with were DNA tested at the border. It proved that a horrifying amount of adults had no genetic relation to the kids they were bringing across.
--Biden of course ended that program, and has lost 85k kids, many of whom were delivered to any adult that claimed them. Article link in the show notes.

-CNN dropped another delicious self-own this weekend by claiming Trump supporters were attacking democracy - by understanding our nation’s actual political structure better than CNN (we live in a Representative Republic, not a Democracy).
--Link to Tom Elliot outlining the difference and why the founders of this nation chose that political structure in the show notes.

-Bill Melugin from Fox reported today that multiple Federal sources are reporting the ICE non-detained docket has exploded to 7.4mm cases. That number is already 2% of the US population, and other estimates believe the total number that have come across our border under Biden is likely 30mm or more.

-Gabe Kaminskey of DC Examiner is reporting that the US State Dept is facing a congressional subpoena for failing to turn over “censorship-by-proxy” documents as requested.
--If you paid attention to the Missouri v Biden lawsuit (now Murthy v Missouri), the Twitter Files, or any other number of post-COVID lawsuits, you know that the USGOV has been caught funding outside, 3rd-party groups to censor Americans in ways the USGOV can’t legally do.
--Now some of those groups who were being censored are suing, like The Federalist, The Daily Wire, while Congress runs their own investigations. Link in the show notes.

-Todd Bensman reported today that the Biden Administration has been giving illegal immigrants flights into the US. While on paper the immigrants are Cubans, Haitians, Nicaragauns, and Venezuelans, Bensman reports they are being flown in from their origin points in places like Iceland, Fiji, France, Germany, Finland, Norway, Netherlands, Switzerland, Japan, and Australia - each of which would disqualify their asylum claims under the actual international asylum laws.

-The Independent is reporting that 4 democrats in Connecticut have been hit with legal charges after video showed them stuffing the ballot box and triggering a new mayoral election. But rest assured, America - this never happens in Presidential elections. Suggesting so, asking questions, or trying to verify makes you an insurrectiony white supremacist domestic terrorist, apparently.

-There’s a lot of hubub going on saying that farmers in Idaho are being forced to shut off their water wells after recently planting their crops. Reporting is saying that the Department of Water Resources, in the governor’s office, sent the order. The Governor is reportedly saying that his hands are tied and he can’t do anything about it. I will keep an eye out for developments but this whole thing stinks.
War/Military:
-NATO chief Jens Stoltenberg told The Telegraph newspaper today (Monday) that NATO is considering moving nuclear weapons from storage to standby status. Someone needs to pull Dr. Strangelove off the stage toot freaking sweet.

-Vietnam has been hit with widespread internet disruptions across the country after their undersea cables failed. Why am I putting this in the war/military? ---Do you remember the stories about China’s PLA Navy docking ships in neighboring Cambodia recently? The previous reports about fears of Chinese ships cutting undersea cables and antagonizing Filipino fishermen? I’m not saying it’s definitely connected…but I’m very far from writing it off.

-CENTCOM has announced that Biden’s Gaza pier is at least being partially dismantled. Reporting has indicated that the pier itself was only rated for 2 foot swells, in a location that is prone to 5-foot swells. Well done, guys.

-The Financial Times has reported that Russia sent more gas to Europe than the USA did in May. Here’s your gentle reminder that:2-foot
--Trump warned them (Europe), and
--We’re spending billions to “protect” Europe from the nation they made themselves dependent upon - and are choosing to still buy gas from.

Science/Health:
-Fox News has reported that the state of Missouri is suing Pfizer over misrepresentations and adverse effects of the COVID-19 vaccine.

-The WHO has admitted that they were wrong (see: lying) about the man in Mexico City who they claimed had died of bird flu - which was quickly rebuked by the local medical chief.

Markets/economics:
-Despite Yellen opening swap lines with BOJ and them going absolutely ham scooping up US debt (as China offloaded), the USDJPY pair is still inching up towards 158, which is not good for Japan.

-A new academic paper by Pastorek, Drabek, and Albrecht seems to prove that Gamestop (GME) trading was being done on more shares than actually exist via ETF Failures to Deliver (FTDs). Another conspiracy theory proven conspiracy fact. Link to tweet showing the paper abstract in the show notes.

-A Goldman Sachs trader is warning that cracks are appearing and the S&P 500 is “no longer telling the story of the global market.” Welcome to the party, buddy - read Masks Off, part 2. Article link in the show notes.

-California, of course, tops the nation in terms of unemployment at 5.3% with Nevada at 5.1%, and Illinois, New Jersey, and Washington each at 4.8%. Build back better?

-Morgan Stanley has reported that the number of stocks outperforming the S&P 500 is now at the lowest level on record. Homework: have a look at what has followed historically when that type of consolidation happens in the market. Hint: it ain’t a bull market.

-If you read or listened to the post or podcast Masks Off, part 2, you may be interested to learn that our friend Expound the Profound was tracking that Apple stock and VIX were rising together today in a way that he considered may have been a way to hide the VIX rise.

Business:
-The Epoch Times is reporting that the Supreme Court has taken up a case from shareholders alleging they were misled by Nvidia (NVDA) about exposure to crypto. Link in the show notes.

-If you’ve spent enough time in the corporate world, especially at Fortune-level companies, you learn to decipher corporate gobbledegook speak.
--The term “operational efficiency” is known as a code for “layoffs are coming,” and a chart released by ZeroHedge is a bad omen for those of us with an internal corporate translator. Chart in the show notes.

Geopolitics:
-A Europoll published in The Economist showed that Marie Le Pen’s party came out on top in 93% of French towns and villages, absolutely dominating Macron and his party.
--I know it’s tres Americaine to dunk on the French, but let me tell you as a guy who has spent time there and fought alongside Frenchmen: France outside of Paris is a very different place, not all that dissimilar from America and Americans.
