Our weblate at https://hosted.weblate.org/projects/gramophone/ now also supports translating the app denoscription and changelogs ("Fastlane"). This will be used in F-Droid, IzzyOnDroid and Google Play (eventually).

As some might already noticed, akane foundation is now renamed to Foedus programme¹ on github! That's because since we've grown so strong and accepted too many new members, thus including "akane" in the organization name isn't appropriate anymore. We hope you like this change and some of akane's previous project will be moved to this newly bornt organization very soon.

It's honestly kind of disappointing that I had to send this e-mail today.

If you have the original Omni app installed, you will now see this. Do not worry, "Sendfunds.app" cannot overwrite your original version of Omni. As long as you see the "The app installed on your device didn't come from Google Play" disclaimer, this is purely a cosmetic issue.

The developer now changed to someone from China, perhaps in reaction to my email. DMCA takedown request was already submitted by us, will need to wait until Google Legal team processed it (and let's hope they don't reject it).

This is extremely sketchy, make sure to have the original APK by Akane installed and not this "TigerCompassFlashlight".

Update: In Brazilian regions, this will open a Gambling website. This is a literal scam and we are very sad to see that they abuse our code and package name for this.

Thanks to maximiliaan, Alexander Brunswig, ash az, Bi, HauptlingHD and an anonymous person, we raised enough funds for a Play Store account.
Thanks to @MainPandaHoon, who signed up at Google Play console, we have access to an developer account.
Thanks to 38 volunteers from the chat, we had enough testers to pass Google's testing requirements for indivdual developers.

Hence, I am happy to announce that Gramophone is now available in the Google Play Store:

Please however note this version is signed using a different key, so you cannot switch between Google Play version and F-Droid/GitHub version without uninstalling and re-installing the app. GitHub and IzzyOnDroid will continue to get updates fastest, while F-Droid and Google Play will be slower due to slow build cycles and slow review times, respectively. (Other than signing, the Google Play and GitHub/F-Droid/IzzyOnDroid versions are the exactly same code). The Google Play version uses this certificate SHA-256 digest: 178869b0f9130d145b53404df4d4e5e311095406cb3c51a3e7a4b03bb3e87786
