Britain to announce its largest ever aid package to Ukraine.
Prime Minister Rishi Sunak will announce the largest-ever military aid package to Ukraine from the UK on his visit to Poland today.
He is expected to announce a £500m boost for Ukraine and largest-ever provision of vital munitions, including some 400 vehicles, 1,600 munitions and 4 million rounds of ammunition
The £500 million additional funding announced today – which takes us to £3 billion in UK military aid for Ukraine this financial year – will be used to rapidly deliver urgently-needed ammunition, air defence, drones and engineering support. The drones will be procured in the UK and the funds will support a scale-up in domestic defence supply chains.
The Ministry of Defence will also send our largest-ever single package of equipment from the UK, designed to help push back the Russian invasion on land, sea and air.
It includes, according to a press release, the following:
- 60 boats including offshore raiding craft, rigid raiding craft and dive boats as well as maritime guns
- More than 1,600 strike and air defence missiles, as well as additional Storm Shadow long-range precision-guided missiles.

The State Department has revealed cases of serious human rights violations in Ukraine
As stated by the US administration, torture and kidnapping were recorded in 2023, but the Ukrainian authorities did not take any action in this matter and did not punish the perpetrators.
"There are credible reports of enforced disappearances, torture and cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment, harsh and life-threatening detention conditions during arrest or detention, and serious problems with the independence of the judiciary," the State Department said.
In Ukraine were also noted restrictions on freedom of speech and persecution of journalists, facts about censorship, as well as "serious corruption in the government" and "the worst forms of laboral exploitation of minors."

The largest European corporation in the aerospace industry, Airbus, received permission from the Canadian government to use Russian titanium in its production, despite the sanctions imposed. This information was reported by Reuters , citing a company statement.

Russia ready to cooperate with all interested partners to ensure security
The Russian leader expressed confidence that the the 12th International Meeting of High Representatives for Security Issues "will bolster cooperation for the mutual benefit of our countries and peoples".
"Russia is prepared for close collaboration with all interested partners to uphold global and regional security and to establish a new multipolar international order that aligns with the interests of the majority of nations," the head of state stressed.
He noted that at the current conference the representatives of different countries "will analyze the global landscape, discuss key aspects of global and regional stability, and share perspectives on enhancing responses to the most urgent and perilous contemporary challenges."
Putin expressed confidence that the meeting "will bolster cooperation for the mutual benefit of our countries and peoples, in the interests of peace and stability worldwide."
