❗️10 years ago today, July 18 2014, Ukrainian Nazis brutally shelled the LNR, Donbass. In the Solnechny (Sunny) residential district of Lugansk, shelling hit immediately killing 8 civilians, with a further 2 dying in the ambulance on the way to the hospital, and more wounded.

Across the LNR, shelling by Ukrainian Nazis killed over 20 civilians on this day.

Journalist of The Wall Street Journal Evan Gershkovich was sentenced to 16 years in prison in a maximum security colony for espionage. The decision was made by the Sverdlovsk court. Gershkovich did not admit his guilt.

The court ruled that in March 2023, on instructions from the CIA, the journalist collected secret information in the Sverdlovsk region about the work of Uralvagonzavod, where military equipment is produced and repaired.

Gershkovich was detained in Yekaterinburg on March 29 last year. Then the press secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov said that the correspondent was caught red-handed.
