Refusal to admit Ukraine to NATO would be "suicide" for Europe, as it would lay the foundations for a new war, Ukraine's Foreign Minister Kuleba told Politico in an interview.

"The only way to close the door to Russian aggression against Europe and the Euro-Atlantic space as a whole is to admit Ukraine to NATO, because Russia will not dare to repeat this experience again," Kuleba said.

Companies in Russia for the first time declared revenues of more than 1 quadrillion rubles.

Experts interviewed by RBC explained this by growing business costs against the backdrop of sanctions pressure.

The revenue reflected in the data of the Federal Tax Service is income aggregated from income tax declarations, and profit, respectively, is the difference between income and expenses from the same declarations, they pointed out.

The Federal Tax Service reported to RBC that the reasons for the growth in company revenues were several factors: an increase in sales revenue due to an increase in average export prices in the oil and gas sector; recovery of consumer demand for goods and services; growth in non-operating income, mainly due to “revaluation of foreign currency income by the banking sector (due to foreign currency fluctuations during 2022)”.
