According to the investigation, on November 7, 2023, a man, while on the landing at the entrance of a residential building at the residence address of journalist Alexander Kots and his wife, tried to exert mental influence on the journalist’s wife. Thus, the defendant wanted to interfere with the professional activities of the journalist.

In the near future, the defendant will be taken to the department of the capital's Investigative Committee, where investigators will begin interrogating him.

Putin signed a decree on measures to exchange frozen assets of Russians.

Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree “On additional temporary economic measures related to the circulation of foreign securities” for the exchange of frozen assets of Russians. The document was published on the official legal information portal.
"To establish that transactions (operations) with foreign securities that belong to residents and are accounted for in accounts opened by the central depository in foreign organizations as a person acting in the interests of other persons, entailing the transfer of ownership of such securities to non-residents (including including persons of unfriendly foreign states) and carried out at the expense of their funds located in type “C” accounts provided for by presidential decree ... are carried out in the manner prescribed by this decree,” the document says.

In addition, it is stated that the total initial value of foreign securities alienated in accordance with this decree, owned by one resident, cannot exceed 100 thousand rubles. And transactions within the framework of the decree are concluded through tenders.
