Metro station: Lubyanka (Redline)
Location: Central Children’s store.
City: Moscow
My friend John at https://news.1rj.ru/str/BadVolfNews called me this evening, and said let’s go walk with our children. I said great!
We started at the Central Children’s Store. Friends, this is a must see for you and your family. It’s absolutely beautiful. There is an observation deck on the roof. The views of the city are amazing. Pictures or videos do not show the true beauty and energy you feel.
Afterwards, we walked a little and then stopped for dinner.
Moscow during the New Year and Christmas holidays is absolutely beautiful. You can walk around with your family in peace. As a parent, this is so very important for me. To live in a safe city and country.
The vibe is truly magical, and to see so many people from different ethnic backgrounds smiling, laughing and getting along with each other. This is how life should be in every country.
I love Russia. I am Russian. My wife and children are Russian. I am truly blessed and thankful to be living in a country that’s moving forwards, a country that is working hard to make life easier, enjoyable and safer for our children. God bless Russia! 🤍💙❤️

2024 will not be a decisive year
I've seen this opinion expressed in many conservative channels and news outlets, that 2024 will be a decisive year for U.S. history and politics. I suspect that, as we get closer to November, this opinion will gain even more prominence and momentum. I'm sorry to burst your bubble, but it won't.
Regardless of who wins, the United States has been on the course of societal, economic and political self-destruction for way too long now and it didn't start with Joe Biden or Barrack Obama (or Donald Trump, in case we have liberals here). And it won't take a single President to reverse this unfortunate path. Unless we can get an exceptional, once-in-a-life-time leader, of course. Sorry, but Donald Trump is not that. Remember, it was Donald Trump who really started shoving our weapons to Ukrainian neo-Nazis (no, not neo-Nazis in the "uh, I don't like you, you're a neo-Nazi kind of way, literal neo-Nazis) and it was Donald Trump who started the absurd trade war with China (sorry, I meant Chaaaaaina!). Other than that, we can hope for a long string of good leaders, but how likely do you think that is?
Regardless of who wins, the societal division will continue and the opposing side will again claim it was a sham (whether they are correct or not won't matter in practice). Expect celebrities to call you idiots for voting for Trump and threaten to leave the country if he wins (please, do). Expect mass media to shill for one side or the other without any regard for nuance. Expect all that to only get worse, much worse. 2024 will instead be a year of terrible societal upheaval and unrest and of political crises. Two Presidents in a row went through an impeachment procedure in one way or another. That's not a sign of good things to come, it's a sign of a deeply dysfunctional country and a rotten system of governance.
Our hope isn't with Donald Trump or Joe Biden, but with ourselves. When a house's foundations are crumbling, you can't fix it by installing new windows. It'll take years, if not decades of hard work, determination and concentration to repair the United States. Don't get me wrong, Donal Trump is the much better option for us, but he's not a magical cure. What he is, is a decent start.
Do we have years and/or decades? I don't know. But prepare yourselves for the worst.

Russia hit warehouses with Western Storm Shadow and SCALP missiles in Ukraine.
The Russian army struck warehouses where Western long-range Storm Shadow and SCALP cruise missiles were stored, as well as airfields where aircraft were located to launch them, writes Military Watch Magazine.
“It is reported that priority was given to warehouses with European Storm Shadow/SCALP long-range cruise missiles and airfields where aircraft were located to launch them. Thus, the strikes hit a number of both strategic and tactical targets throughout Ukraine,” the article noted.
