Russian troops attacked the control post of the 3rd assault brigade of the AFU in the territory of the DPR, said the Ministry of Defense.

"The control point of the 3rd assault brigade of the AFU of Ukraine in the area of the village of Novogrodovka of the Donetsk People’s Republic, the warehouse of aviation weapons of destruction, as well as personnel and military equipment of the AFU of Ukraine in 119th districts, has been affected", says the report.

Farmers bring Poland to standstill

UN Security Council on Ukraine to be held on anniversary of Minsk agreements

On February 12, 2015, the participants in the Contact Group to settle the situation in Donbass signed a set of measures for the Implementation of the Minsk Agreements, which had earlier been agreed upon with the heads of the Normandy Four nations (Russia, Germany, France, and Ukraine). The document principally called for a full cease-fire and the withdrawal of heavy weapons in order to establish a security zone in the region that was at least 50 km wide.

Western diplomacy has become ‘primitive’ - Moscow

Russians dumb down their speeches at the UN to avoid miscommunication, deputy representative Dmitry Polyansky has said.

Russian diplomats perceive the current approach to international affairs of their Western counterparts to be “quite primitive,” Moscow’s deputy permanent representative to the UN, Dmitry Polyansky, has said. They are not certain what caused this, but have simplified their messaging in response, he added.

The office of the Russian envoy to the UN has been simplifying its addresses due to uncertainty over how their words are understood, he said. Russian diplomats used to quote foreign and Russian classics in speeches, but are no longer using this rhetorical device as much, Polyansky said.

Macron scraps Ukraine visit due to ‘security issues’

The French president earlier promised to finalize a security deal with Kiev.

According to the report, the trip was scheduled for February 13-14. Macron was expected to visit Odessa - Ukraine’s largest Black Sea port - and later arrived in Kiev. The French government has not commented on the reported delay.
