The first thing to say is that if you own a property for MORE than 5 years and sell it, your income from the sale is not taxable. This applies to both residents and non-residents.
❗️ Note: this only applies if you own the property as an individual (these rules do not apply to legal entities).
If you sell the property before the expiry of the 5 year holding period, the income tax is as follows👇
🔸 If you are a resident, the income tax rate is 13%. In this case, you can reduce the income from the sale of real estate on the expenses incurred in its purchase, that is, 13% tax is paid on the profit.
🔸 If a non-resident - the tax rate for non-residents is 30%.
