Sound is a fundamental aspect of everything.
When you continue to break down atoms further and further, you eventually hit a point where you aren't dealing with particles anymore, you're dealing with waves and further still you hit the vibration that is causing those waves.
These little points of vibration are essentially what string theory (a theory in physics. That is also part of, but also different to, Quantum theory) is all about and it is this that makes up everything in reality.
That's the basis of what I was saying. Now you did say you wanted it explained in detail, so heres the detail and where it gets a bit trippier.
Time and space run on a particular harmonic frequency, it has its own song if you will and everything within that time and space, also have their own harmonic frequency and all of them sing a song together, so to speak. Do from your largest galaxies, to your smallest subatomic particles, everything is literally singing. It's why ancient cultures viewed the creation of our universe as either a spoken word, a particular chant, or a certain song. They knew that sound held the key to everything.
This was also something that first Pythagoras figured out and then Plato built upon in ancient Greece, but through geometry and number.
Pythagoras, apart from being a master mathematician, was also an extremely accomplished musician and it was when trying to develop a universal method for tuning Instruments, that he discovered what would become the basis of Euclidean Geometry. All numbers have particular frequencies, that're unique to them. Some are stronger than others, but it's when you apply them to shape and form, that they really become special. Each base shape (so circle, square, triangle, pentagon and hexagon) all hold a certain frequency, that you can actually apply to the musical scale.
So, for instance:
A triangle has 180°, on the musical scale that would be equivalent to an A minor.
A square has 360°, on the musical scale that would be 3 notes up the scale, so will give you a C minor.
A pentagon has 540°, on the musical scale that's another 3 notes up, so will give you F minor.
All 3 of those, give you a musical chord in A minor.
You can continuously do this throughout the musical scale and with varying different shapes too. In this way, through moving up the scale in music, you can also figure out different shapes too and vice versa, through different shapes, you can determine different tones.
This is the very basis of all sacred geometry.
Now what Plato discovered was, in the same way that you can determine shape from tone, you can also determine solid polygonal objects and was how Plato found his 'Platonic Solids' (pictured) simply by determining the tone first and then figuring out the values of the angles and placement from those tones.
It's far easier to understand, if you can hear the sounds, as you see the shapes, so I recommend a video on YouTube called Sonic Geometry, that will do that.
It's from this concept that all symbolism derives from. From logos that companies use, to the shapes of products and beyond. Because with those discoveries, came the discovery that certain shapes, can affect and effect the human mind and body, in particular ways and most of the time on a completely subconscious level.
