🇳🇷🇵🇼 - 1 coup and 1 self-coup you never heard about.
In 1985, president Haruo Remeliik of Palau was shot and killed, allegedly over his firm opposition to US nuclear testing in the island.
In 2004, president Scotty of Nauru carried out a self-coup, dissolving parliament, sacking the speaker and triggering a state of emergency. To this day, no trace of this self-coup exist on English Wikipedia. He did this self-coup over corruption in the island, which notably profited to the Russian and North Korean mob.

🇺🇸🇸🇾 - US Army withdrawal from Syria: In a very predictable move, the US Army is set to withdraw from Syria within two months.
• The US Army role in post-Assad Syria was very limited.
• The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and the Damascus government have reached a pragmatic understanding that benefits both sides.
• The PKK leadership has officially called for disarmament and the dissolution of the group, reducing tensions tied to Kurdish militancy.
• Turkey’s strategic concerns have shifted, with its primary focus now on regional rivalries, particularly with Israel, rather than Kurdish forces in Syria.
• ISIS remnants are fragmented and can be effectively countered by the SDF on the ground, with continued support from targeted US and Coalition airstrikes.
This withdrawal is the occasion to reduce foreign interference and pave the way for regional actors to find solutions on their own terms.

The Trump Administration has made one thing clear:
We will apply maximum pressure on Iran and disrupt the regime’s oil supply chain and exports, which support terrorist proxies and partners.
Any refinery, company, or broker that chooses to purchase Iranian oil or facilitate Iran’s oil trade places itself at serious risk.
We are prepared to take all actions available to get Iran’s energy exports down to zero, where they belong, and keep Americans safe.

🇫🇷 - Overall portrait:
Cars burned down in 8 jails' parkings
Rifle shots fired at 8 jails's doors and windows.
A courthouse evacuated due to a bomb threat.
And now this.
The mailbox is obviously a way to scare the guy, to tell him "We know where you live".

On the long run, if you repress people who are actually smart because you don't want to hurt people's feeling that they are all "equally special and all went through exactly the same stuff"... well its not compatible with modernity on the long run. Modernity needs people who are actually smart, and it needs them doing their job properly without having to rely on "soft skills" to get their projects approved.
