The Trump Administration has made one thing clear:
We will apply maximum pressure on Iran and disrupt the regime’s oil supply chain and exports, which support terrorist proxies and partners.
Any refinery, company, or broker that chooses to purchase Iranian oil or facilitate Iran’s oil trade places itself at serious risk.
We are prepared to take all actions available to get Iran’s energy exports down to zero, where they belong, and keep Americans safe.

On the long run, if you repress people who are actually smart because you don't want to hurt people's feeling that they are all "equally special and all went through exactly the same stuff"... well its not compatible with modernity on the long run. Modernity needs people who are actually smart, and it needs them doing their job properly without having to rely on "soft skills" to get their projects approved.
