🇷🇺🇬🇧 A British admiral stated that a single nuclear submarine could burn down 40 Russian cities.
A single British nuclear submarine equipped with Trident ballistic missiles is capable of destroying 40 Russian cities, said retired Royal Navy Rear Admiral Chris Parry. "This is a significant point for [Vladimir] Putin to consider, and it should make any world leader afraid," he noted in an interview with The Telegraph.
Parry, who served in the Royal Navy for 37 years (from 1972 to 2008), emphasized that despite the high cost of Trident, the aging fleet, and the presence of only four submarines, Britain's nuclear forces remain a powerful deterrent. According to him, it is the only weapon system that truly concerns Russia. "It is an insurance policy, often expensive, but essential until the moment you need it," the rear admiral explained.

The Department of Homeland Security said on Friday that it would revoke the temporary legal status of more than 530,000 Cubans, Haitians, Nicaraguans and Venezuelans welcomed into the US under a Biden-era sponsorship process, according to a notice posted to the Federal Register and signed by the homeland security chief Kristi Noem.
Trump said on 6 March that he would decide “very soon” whether to strip the parole status from some 240,000 Ukrainians who have fled to the US during the conflict with Russia. Trump’s remarks came in response to a Reuters report that said his administration planned to revoke the status for Ukrainians as soon as April.

🇧🇪 Incoming benefits cuts in Belgium
The Belgian government plans to cap unemployment benefits at two years, affecting over 100,000 people who have been unemployed for longer, according to Federal Work Minister David Clarinval.
Currently, Belgium is unique in Europe for not limiting unemployment benefit duration. Benefits are based on 65% of the last salary within certain limits and decrease over time, varying by family situation and work history.
Under the new policy, those who have worked at least one year in the past three can receive benefits for up to one year, with each additional four months of work adding another month of benefits, up to a maximum of two years. Exceptions are made for individuals over 55 with long careers.
This change, aimed at reducing Belgium’s budget deficit, is expected to save 902 million euros next year and 1.9 billion euros by 2029.

🇷🇺 Russia: first anniversary of the islamist terror attack at Crocus City Hall
On the evening of March 22, 2024, four muslims from Tajikistan carried out a massacre at the Crocus City Hall concert venue, killing 145 and injuring another 551 people. They recorded their actions on camera.
Some of the terrorists were in Russia illegally, while others had their documents in order. However, one fact definitely unites them with other Muslims living in Russia, according to a survey by the Federal Agency for Nationality Affairs (FADN) asking if they would like to live under Sharia law in Russia, they would answer YES, just like 40% of the surveyed migrants from Central Asia, representing a real risk group for the Russian state.
Tajikistan and Russia established a visa-free regime in 2004. This agreement allows citizens of Tajikistan to enter, stay, and transit through Russia without a visa for up to 90 days within a 180-day period.

🇧🇾 In Belarus, security forces conducted searches in the apartments of Belarusian emigrants living in Europe and threatened new ones.
The country's Investigative Committee reported on the "implementation of a set of investigative actions and procedural measures" related to protests against president Alexander Lukashenko, who has been staying in power for 31 years - since 1994. The protests took place outside Belarus, and security forces are identifying participants using available photo and video materials. A total of 400 people have been declared suspects.
Some cases are already known. In Gomel, for example, the brother and father of political emigrant Nikolai Stagursky, who participated in a rally in Israel on January 26, have been detained. Stagursky himself had previously received threats from law enforcement, and even earlier, they attempted to recruit him.
Recently, Belarusian comedian Slava Komissarenko was sentenced in absentia to six years in prison for allegedly slandering and insulting President Lukashenko. The charges stem from his satirical performances. He left Belarus in 2022, citing threats from authorities.
Belarusian investigators not only reported on their progress but also warned Belarusian emigrants against participating in new actions planned during celebrations of the independence day of Belarus.
