🇧🇾 In Belarus, security forces conducted searches in the apartments of Belarusian emigrants living in Europe and threatened new ones.

The country's Investigative Committee reported on the "implementation of a set of investigative actions and procedural measures" related to protests against president Alexander Lukashenko, who has been staying in power for 31 years - since 1994. The protests took place outside Belarus, and security forces are identifying participants using available photo and video materials. A total of 400 people have been declared suspects.

Some cases are already known. In Gomel, for example, the brother and father of political emigrant Nikolai Stagursky, who participated in a rally in Israel on January 26, have been detained. Stagursky himself had previously received threats from law enforcement, and even earlier, they attempted to recruit him.

Recently, Belarusian comedian Slava Komissarenko was sentenced in absentia to six years in prison for allegedly slandering and insulting President Lukashenko. The charges stem from his satirical performances. He left Belarus in 2022, citing threats from authorities.

Belarusian investigators not only reported on their progress but also warned Belarusian emigrants against participating in new actions planned during celebrations of the independence day of Belarus.
