By the way, in Godot 4.6 the transparency no longer breaks reflections behind it even if the Screen texture is used and modified.
So, no more issues with screen effects if they are used as a 3D filter. Which is a huge upgrade that fixes a lot of possible screen effects. I have a few more stupid ideas!
PS. The scene I've tried it on was to check how pointlessly unoptimized can it be and still work. With like hundreds of objects which are not instanced scenes, but just a bunch of nodes placed in a grid. It works oddly fast though...

Tencent spent years, negotiating the possible Horizons Online. Sony clearly said no, but Tencent already wasted millions on the production and announced it as Light of Motiram.
Now, after several months in court, the game is officially delisted and the case is settled. But they will not tell us how exactly.

Game director of Mafia and KCD 1/2 decided that he is not YET controversial enough, so he joined the Larian shitstorm. I mean, it's what he does every couple of months, but this time about AI.
Basically:
- AI can kill us all
- It can allow indies make cool games
- He's ready to risk (he's old and rich)
- He hates that work is so slow
- He wants to kinda "speed up people"
Fuck him in particular with his risks and wealth! Don't buy Kingdom Come on Winter Sale.

Unity is trying to make some crap again: according to Mobilegamer and 80lvl, they are pushing for up to $2m annual commitment.
I assume, companies will not like that, and it will finally push big clients towards open solutions. They will find out how integrate SDKs into Godot...

Battlefield 6 got broken after the recent update. The same as it was on release, the game enables hidden Frame Generation, that causes performance issues, mouse movement inconsistency, crashes, and memory leaks.
Technically, Frame Gen looks disabled in the settings, but the game still generates you some frames even if you are already way over 100 FPS. And apparently it's not DLSS or FSR or whatever, it's something different under the hood.
On any hardware!
The whole Steam forum and EA support forum are filled with complaints now. No official response though.
