🇹🇷 — Turkish police arrested Istanbul Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu and approximately 105 others, including mayors of sub-municipalities in Istanbul, on charges of corruption and links to gangs and terrorist organizations.

➡️The Istanbul Public Prosecutor's Office said the investigations began after the publication of videos showing money counting within the ranks of the opposition Republican People's Party (CHP), to which İmamoğlu belongs. This prompted authorities to investigate suspicions of money laundering, bribery, extortion of businessmen, municipal tender fraud, and the illegal seizure of personal data of Istanbul residents.
