IDF's response to the incident?
The IDF's Tank crewmembers state that they opened fire on the building, which has the organization's flag flying over it, after spotting "suspects" and "believed it to be a threat".

However;

After an examination, it emerged that the identification was incorrect, and the building belongs to the Red Cross.
