🇸🇩⚠️ | RSF Regains Full Control of Al-Khawi in West Kordofan

This morning, the UAE-Backed Rapid Support Forces militia retook full control of Al-Khawi in West Kordofan, following the withdrawal of the Sudanese Armed Forces and the Darfuri Coalition Forces to the Umm Samima area.

With this shift, the military control map in the Kordofan region has reverted to its status as of May 10, before the recent army advances into Al-Khawi, Al-Hamadi, and Al-Dabaibat.

According to local sources:

- SAF and allied militias withdrew with major clashes.
- RSF units reportedly re-entered Al-Khawi in large convoys.
- Civilians in surrounding areas report RSF checkpoints and patrols.

The situation remains tense, with fears of a renewed RSF push into southern North Kordofan or towards Kadugli but as of now RSF currently holds the upper hand, especially in West and South Kordofan, with mobility, access routes from Darfur, and cooperation with local factions.

Russia is reportedly considering the deployment of intermediate- and long-range missiles in the city of Sabha, Libya. According to a report by Nova, these missiles would be positioned with Europe as their intended target.

— 🇳🇬 According to unconfirmed reports, the "largest military camp" in the Borno region of Nigeria was attacked, captured and had few of it's parts burned by the militants of the internationally recognized terrorist group named ISWAP (Islamic State's West African province) recently.

— According to inconsistent & conflicting reports, the camp which is a supercamp named "Bitta" hosting the 199th Battalion was attacked last night and burned.

— However, as per the Nigerian military,

We launched an air & land assault on terrorist positions in Bitta.

— Keep in mind that Bitta was reportedly attacked 2-3 months ago as well and ISWAP's main strategy was and currently is never to take over camps permanently as a defensive position, however, they allegedly have taken over 1 of the 22 camps they attacked (some repeatedly) as a "defensive position".

— The comment from the Nigerian military could mean two things:

1) The camp was attacked & held by ISWAP months ago and the Nigerian military tried to retake it but allegedly failed.
Or
2) The attack occurred yesterday and the NAF provided the troops on ground with air support.
