🇮🇱🇱🇧🇵🇸 - In the last 24 hours in the Gaza Strip, IDF's Airstrikes have resulted in 8 deaths, which is among the lowest in the last 353 days since October 7th 2023. With an average of 117 deaths a day, this number is comparable to the 'November 2023' ceasefire period.

Meanwhile, Atleast 356 have been announced killed in Lebanon today by the Health Ministery, a toll which hasn't been seen even during the 2006 war.

🇵🇸🇱🇧🇮🇱 - The events unfolding today in Lebanon is playing out the exact same way it has in Gaza, in which an Extensive Air-Strike campaign was held between the time period of October 7-October 25, in order to shred and pave a way into the lands, and in hopes to in capitate their opponent's capabilities as much as possible before directly engaging with them.

Entire Lebanese families have been wiped out, the same way they did in Gaza. The next few days, weeks and perhaps months will be extremely difficult, and filled with bloodshed.

🇧🇷📞🇱🇧❗️ — Sources with the Brazilian ministry of Foreign affairs tell us that Brazilian Embassy in Beirut started major preparations for a large scale operation to evacuate double nationals out of Lebanon as the crisis in Southern Lebanon escalates

➡️ Following the examples set during the 2006 War/Second Lebanon War, the Brazilian Embassy is preparing for a mass evacuation of roughly at start 20,000 Lebanese-Brazilians out of the Levantine country

➡️ It's noteworthy that Brazil hosts the biggest Lebanese community in the world, more than Lebanon itself, most of them Maronites Christians, Melkites and Shia Muslims

🇷🇺🇪🇬🇮🇷🇹🇷🇦🇪 Egypt, Iran, Russia, Turkey, and the UAE are taking advantage of conflicts that have emerged in Sudan and Somalia to advance their own economic, military, and political objectives in the Horn of Africa and the Red Sea at the expense of civilian and US interests.

Iran, Russia, and the United Arab Emirates are backing various sides in Sudan’s civil war to advance their interests in the region, complicating peace talks and exacerbating the violence and resulting humanitarian crisis.

Iran and Russia in particular are providing military supplies in pursuit of Red Sea naval bases that would enable both countries to threaten US economic and military interests in the Red Sea.

Somalia has turned to Egypt and Turkey to help counter a naval base agreement between Ethiopia and the de facto independent breakaway Somaliland region. Egypt and Turkey have benefited from this development to advance their own economic, military, and political objectives.

Their involvement has increased the risk of a broader regional conflict and prolonged the crisis to the detriment of US counterterrorism interests in Somalia and the local population.

Shifting regional alliances in the Middle East, have shaped some of the external engagement in the Horn of Africa and changed how Middle East powers are interacting with each other as they continue to compete for influence in the Horn of Africa and the Red Sea.

For example, Saudi Arabia and the UAE are increasingly at odds, helping to create room for Iran to re-engage with Sudan. Egypt and Turkey are also more aligned on foreign policy issues, which is evident in Somalia.
