•The military took control in a coup on February 1, 2021, and has been ruling the country since then.
•The myanmar military is also known as 'military junta'.
• As per the BBC report of 2024 only 21% of Myanmar land is under the control of military junta.
• The military junta is supported by China,India,Russia.
• There are various ethnic armed organisations(EAO) also which are backed by many countries.
• The support to these groups is based on the countries' geopolitical intrest and startegic location of the armed groups.
•In the next segment we will discuss about the various EAOs and their backing by countries like USA,India, China,Russia, Bangladesh etc.
