CHINA CRISIS: Evergrande execs “severely punished” for early redemption of wealth products as bond markets SLUMP
Chinese building behemoth Evergrande has reprimanded six unnamed executives who allegedly redeemed the company’s investment products early, despite returning all funds.
The six reportedly made early redemptions on 12 unspecified investment products between May 1 and Sept 7 as Evergrande battled to stave the impending $300bn liquidity crisis.
The news comes as Modern Land (China) Co Ltd, Ronshine China Holdings and Guangzhou R&F Properties Co saw 2022 and 2023 property bonds drop by 25%, 12.9% and 8.37% respectively.

Almost 2,000 UK Police Officers Have Been Accused of SEX Offences in Four Years (Report)
The allegations include 370 sexual assaults, 100 of rape and 18 of child sex offences - just 8% of accusations led to a dismissal, according to Freedom of Information figures from 2016-2020.
Police officers in England and Wales accused of serious offences are often granted anonymity after being dismissed or disciplined in secret hearings, according to the findings.
A separate study from Bournemouth University found there were 514 proven cases of sexual misconduct across 33 police forces in the past 5 years, the most common of which was “abuse of position for a sexual purpose” – 15% involved officers who were sergeant or higher.
