Canada’s inflation rate hits highest point for 18 years
Surging consumer demand mixed with a supply chain crisis and high oil prices saw Canada's annual inflation rate hit 4.4% in September, up from 4.1% in August.
It's caused transport, housing and food prices to creep higher, the country’s statistics agency has said.
The Canadian Central Bank will meet to decide whether or not to raise interest rates next week.

Senegal seizes TONS of pure cocaine off Atlantic coast
The Senegal Navy has seized 2.2 tons of the drug off West Africa - the largest bust in the country's history, Reuters has reported.
The haul was found on a ship 226 miles off the coast by naval forces, backed by French air support.
The ship had five crew members aboard, who've been taken into custody.
