Gaming Giant to Pay $100 MILLON in Gender Discrimination Settlement
Riot Games, the company behind the League of Legends franchise, has agreed to pay $100 million to settle a 2018 gender-based discrimination class-action lawsuit in California.
$80 million of the sum will go to all of Riot’s female employees in the state, the rest will be used to pay attorney fees.
The lawsuit was filed by two now-former employees, Melanie McCracken and Jess Negrón, who had alleged gender discrimination in terms of workers’ pay as well as a history of 'sexual harassment' in the company.
