MIT announces “major advance” in NUCLEAR FUSION power (Report)
A team of MIT scientists claim they have cleared the greatest technological hurdle between man and practical nuclear fusion power – which many experts believe will someday provide the world with near-limitless power. (Futurism)
MIT researchers on Sep. 5 managed to ramp up a large high-temperature superconducting electromagnet to the strength of 20 tesla (unit used to measure magnet strength) – the most powerful magnetic field of its kind ever created on Earth.
The MIT team class fusion as “the ultimate clean energy source” - could their "watershed" advance potentially pave the way for the long-sought creation of practical, inexpensive, carbon-free power plants?

Paid influencers MUST label posts as advertising, rules German court
Germany’s Federal Court of Justice has CLAMPED DOWN on paid Instagram influencers hiding the nature of their posts by ruling that they must label such promotions as advertising.
In one of the three cases they judged on the matter, TV presenter Cathy Hummels wasn’t punished for promoted a stuffed toy brand as she hadn’t been paid.
The ruling follows Instagram’s agreement last year with Britain’s Competition and Markets Authority to crack down on hidden advertising.

Churchill Trust DITCHES all website images… of Churchill!
The Winston Churchill Memorial Trust has ditched its noscript, all images from its site and even an article referring to the late UK PM as a “much-loved leader”, because of his views on race.
Churchill's biography and achievement's have gone too, as the charity's chief said the name made it confusing... "it did not reflect what we are about”. A new blog on the site claimed “many of his views on race are widely seen as unacceptable today, a view that we share.”
The trust helps fund UK students study abroad, but has faced a backlash in the media over its name and a scolding for the rebrand for woke-washing history.
