Dragon tales are known in many cultures, from the Americas to Europe, and from India to China.
It's not clear when or where stories of dragons first emerged, but the huge, flying serpents were described at least as early as the age of the ancient Greeks and Sumerians. In the ancient world they took the form of enormous serpents, ready to crush with their coils and kill with their venomous breath. For much of history dragons were thought of as beasts: sometimes useful and protective, other times harmful and dangerous.
In our recent past they are known to be a mythical being of fantasy. Some people say many so called dinosaur bones are actually of Ancient Dragons. What do you think?

Pyongyang is one of the oldest cities in Korea. It was the capital of two ancient Korean kingdoms, Gojoseon and Goguryeo, and served as the secondary capital of Goryeo. Much of the city was destroyed during the First Sino-Japanese War.

In 2001, Italian archaeologist Mario Polia discovered the report of a missionary named Andres Lopez in the Vatican archives. In the document, which dates from 1600, Lopez describes in great detail, a large city rich in gold, silver and jewels, located in the middle of the tropical jungle called Paititi by the natives.
Lopez informed the Pope about his discovery and the Vatican has kept Paititi's location secret for decades.

The more vicious side of the Cynocephali or at least one of their tribes was documented in the story if Jason and the Argonauts, who, in their quest for the Golden Fleece about their ship, the Argo, came across a group of Cynocephali.
The battle ended up in a win for the traveling adventurers, but it put the vision of the dog-faced humans as brutal foes in peoples minds.
The Cynocephali didn’t belong to the Greeks alone and were well-known far beyond Greece, with different names, but with very similar characteristics. They were documented in Egypt, the gods Hapi and Anubis were shown to have the faces of dogs and were also a part of the tales of ancient China that described the citizens of a mythical continent called Fusang.
According to a Buddhist missionary named Hui-Sheng, an island of dog-headed men lived on an island to the east of Fusang where it was knows as Dog Kingdom.

In ancient Japanese folklore, the Kappa is a water demon that inhabits rivers and lakes and devours disobedient little children.
While some believe the legend originated from sightings of the Japanese Giant Salamander, a species still alive today, others maintain that the myth is real.
