We have just reported on an issue that prevented some people from logging into the game. This issue has been resolved already.

For transparency sake, the main channel post has been removed as the issue was fixed within 10 minutes, leaving it up may cause confusion for other Agents even if it's edited.

Niantic has released Update 2.159.1 into the App Stores!

When starting the app, tips will now be shown on the loading screen with the intention of helping out new Agents.

A few fixes have also made their way to the Scanner. A fix for an animation with ADA was made in the tutorial, the animation for receiving a medal in the Dispatch screen was fixed and the mission button to close the details of a Bounty was re-added.

The idea? A Media Locker—a premium feature similar to Key Lockers, dedicated to storing Media separately from an Agents main inventory.

The Event page on the Intel map has fixed the issue with Agents in certain timezones not being able to view it, resulting in a black screen instead. Now all Agents, no matter their timezone, should be able to access it.

Agents have spotted that Niantic has used the "Events & offers" feature on Google Play for the first time, advertising the upcoming +Alpha Anomaly to every user visiting the Ingress Prime store page.

About a week ago we asked Agents to fill out a survey about giving feedback about potential new features that they would like to see in Ingress. This table shows the average "desire" of each feature based on the results, sorted from "most desired" to "least desired".

Note that this table is biased towards a mostly "veteran" group of Agents which make up the majority of players subscribed to @IUENG, so it may not represent the playerbase as a whole.

Users using Facebook to log into services from Niantic currently have problems when trying to do so as the login application Niantic registered with Meta has been deactivated for unknown reasons.

This seems to only affects Websites that allow you to log in with Facebook using Niantics unified login screen (Niantic ID), such as the Intel map, the Mission creator and Wayfarer. Logging into the scanner does not seem to be affected.

If you need to access one of these sites you'll need to either use a connected Google or Apple account instead for now. If you have none connected you can do so via the settings in the Scanner.

Agents are reporting that the +Alpha Anomaly in Yokosuka was captured by the Enlightened!

NIA Researchers have detected a Shard battle of unknown potential in Mikasa Park (Yokosuka, Japan) on 16 Feb, 1530 to 1630.
Mobilize, engage, investigate, and contain.

**Note: this Shard battle does NOT impact “+Alpha” season scores.
**A Restocking Portal will be available in Mikasa Park from 15:20 to 16:30.

This problem has been seemingly resolved and you can now log in with Facebook again.

The Bounty Blitz has started for players in the AMER region! The Bounties that are available are the same as during the Bounty Blitz during the last anomaly series:

- Capture any 40 Portals
- Create 20 Links
- Upload 5 Portal Scans
- Earn 20 Overclock Hack Points
- Earn 80 Glyph Hack points

Each single Bounty awards 1331 AP, and two Bounties need to be completed to claim the Assignment and restart the campaign. Each completed Bounty scores important points for your faction, so it's time to move!
